Is the perfect size, holds wood well and good ventilation. I only dropped a star because after a few uses it is more white than black. But holding up great otherwise.

After a couple of uses the metal broke. Additionally, it is so low, there is not enough space to place paper underneath to start the fire. This also results in ashes building up quickly and the fireplace having to be cleaned after each use. Poor design and even worse quality.

Been needing a new grate for a couple of years and kept forgetting. One night when I had a fire in the fireplace and I was placing wood, I knew at that moment I had to get one and no time to get to a store to purchase. I looked on Amazon at several different ones; decided on this one not because it was less expensive but because it looked sturdy and durable. I knew when I picked the box off the porch it was a nice weight. The size is perfect for my fireplace and as i said not the least expensive but I have a feeling this will be around a long time.

It looks too small but the log holder design it does the job if you don’t need a big fire stack. It has to be assembled too but it does seem sturdy
