I am a retired buiding contractor, so I know a good extention cord when I see it. My particular need was energizing Xmas lites on some recently planted conifer trees in the yard, but mine were too long and lacking the multiple-plug feature I needed so I bought five sets of these and they are really nice quality at a great price. The outer covering is heavy duty, but not so stiff that they can't be coiled up. The 14 AWG is what sealed the deal for me. The "female" outlet end of the cord is enhanced with a nylon socket to form a very snug connection to another extention cord, which is the reason you would buy this in the first place. From a quality perspective, this is an excellent power strip for putting in the garden or front yard. Works well and feels solid doing the job of a power strip. I would recommend these to anyone, especially for the holiday light setup needs. My 2 cents below: Pros: - Has 3 power outlets on the extension - Functional power strip with enough spacing between the plugs - Long cord length & enough for most of the home needs - Superior build quality. Feels solid and very durable - Multiple safety protection including overvoltage, overcurrent, overload, overheating, etc. Is ETL listed giving extra peace of mind - Very reasonably priced in the competition Cons: - I wish it had the switch to cut OFF the power to the strip ... show more
