  • A necessity if you are outdoorsy!
Color: Canyon Red
As someone who runs outdoors, often alone in pretty remote areas, safety is a paramount concern for me. I had only recently stumbled upon these headphones, and had not heard of this technology before, so since I had a birthday Amazon gift card burning a hole in my wallet, I decided to bite the bullet and try these out. Scouring the reviews, I saw a lot of complaints about the sound quality which made me a little nervous, but the idea of being able to listen to music on my run while also being able to hear my surroundings on the trails was really appealing. To be honest, I found the sound quality surprisingly good--even better than my in-ear Skull Candy sport earphones I've been using for a few years. I have a pretty varied running playlist which includes everything from rap/R&B to heavy metal to classic alternative, and everything sounded fantastic. And what was even better was that I could also hear wayward cars on the road, other runners coming up behind me, the babbling water in the canals, and the birds, even rustling of wildlife in the bushes on the trail! It's nice to have that kind of awareness of my surroundings while still being able to enjoy my music to keep my pace. The Aftershokz were also very comfortable. I wear a visor and sunglasses with pretty thick sides and had no problem. I also sweat a lot (hey, it's summer in AZ!) and they stayed secure. If I had to find some room for improvement, I'd say make the band adjustable. It didn't really bother me all that much and it stayed secure on my head, but I would have preferred a slightly sung fit around the back. In retrospect, I probably could have gotten away with the mini version. But not a deal breaker in the least. They stayed on just fine, and were definitely more comfortable than my in-ear Skull Candy ones. And probably more sanitary too since there is nothing inside your ear which doesn't need to be regularly cleaned. It was also nice to run without having to stop to adjust the fit or pop the earphone back in my ear when it inevitably falls out! There are only three buttons--one on the left, and two on the right--and they were easy to access to pause, adjust volume, skip tracks, and turn on/off. Charging was pretty quick, and it was easy to pair with my iPhone Xs. If you're more concerned about sound quality, then these probably aren't for you. But if you workout outdoors and need to be aware of your surroundings, these are definitely worth the investment. ... show more

  • Greatest headphones ever!
Color: Canyon Red
I usually don't write reviews because who has the time and that much to say about something they bought, but I have to for these. I've been searching for earbuds that would allow me to use only one at a time while the other was off so one ear could be free for conversations in the office. With the Aftershocks I can wear them full time, listen to my music and still hold full conversations. Not to mention the multipoint pairing. At work I'm connected to my cell phone and my office phone. It'll pause my music while I take an office call then resume playing once my call has ended. It has a 33ft range and I wish it were more because it does disconnect when I have to walk to my office printer (which is just a few feet further) but reconnects when I'm back in range of my phone. The open ear design is great! Usually with earbuds my ears will start to hurt or itch or feel really waxy (gross), so I mess with them a lot. Not these. My husband, my co-workers, and even my kids, everyone I've shown now wants a pair. One of my co-workers tested mine and immediately ordered them. Now here's my only con. I ordered the standard because I'm in love with the canyon red color, but the standard is a bit too big for my head (fits my husband perfectly) and this color is not available in the mini. If/when the mini comes out in canyon red, you bet your sweet butt I'll be one-click buying them and giving these to my husband. ... show more

They are good but break easily.. I’ve bought a new pair every 1-2 years due to the straight part of the band snapping..

  • Useful for work and play
Color: Canyon Red
Good Morning, Evening, and Afternoon All! I order these headphones over two weeks ago, and I am LOVING them! Solid sound, can still hear everything around me, and the quality of material is amazing. I use these everyday, especially during my trips to the airsoft, paintball, and laser tag fields. If you're looking for headphones to get you through everyday, seamlessly, these are the headphones for you! Now, onto the breakdown: Noise Cancellation: I put this at three stars because the entire point is to NOT cancel noise. Although, they do include a set of very nice ear plugs, if you're looking for noise cancellation. Sound Quality: For conduction headphones, I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of sound. I was warned by a close friend of mine that I'd be sacrificing quality, but I have yet to notice the decline. I will say, these headphones are meant for an active lifestyle, not for the studio, so you lose professional quality, but its great if you're looking for a pair to do physical activities. Battery Life: Leaving these plugged in overnight, I'm able to get a good 8 to 10 hours out of these things throughout the day. I haven't had the chance to try using them in a single setting, but I have no doubt that they will shine in that aspect as well! Overall: I am insanely pleased with these headphones. They are comfortable when I'm active, no slip, so sweat damage. I recommend these headphones to any individual, including my best mates. ... show more

  • Super Great!
Color: Canyon Red
Ok I have had these for a couple years now and want to share my experience. I got these because I hate not being able to hear when I have headphones on. I bought these because my daughter bought some. She gets extremely car sick so these make her nauseas. I ended up getting migraines for over a year and had a hard time wearing these because they caused nausea. I adjusted the bass and it helped a lot. I do have glasses and hearing impairment and since I've gotten my migraines under control I'm able to wear them again. They're great for walks, dental procedures, and using them in the car. They're great for talking on the phone too. I have had no problems with them whatsoever. In the beginning they did feel a little big and it irritated me but the feeling did go away with use. I do recommend adjusting your equalizer on your phone for the best sound quality for you. ... show more
