I'm so glad I bought this skirt! The fabric is great quality and the colors are vibrant. I normally fluctuate between L and XL depending on how the skirt is made. I'm about 5'5 and 175lbs. I ordered one print in L and another in XL. Neither is falling off of me thanks to the elastic waste. The large is a little big, but feels really comfortable. The XL is definitely too big but I like the fluffy feeling it gives me, so I kept it. I probably could've worn the medium for a snugger fit. I wear them high-wasted and both skirts fall at my ankles. There is a lack of continuity of the patterns at the seams, but it's not noticeable when you're wearing it. ... show more

Pros: They are long, well structured in the waist and folds and the colors are amazingly vibrant. The material is thick and the stitching is solid. The pattern 8 skirt fit as expected, sitting perfectly just above the ground in bare feet on my 5'8 frame, with the waist being tight and a bit of a squeeze to get over my hips. The pockets are also well sized and could comfortably fit a smartphone in one and keys and a change wallet in the other. Cons: I purchased pattern 1 and pattern 8 in Large on the same order from Afibi, however the sizing was way different. Pattern 1 has a bigger waist line so it doesn't hug the waist and the length was significantly shorter than the pattern 8 skirt. It looked like a normal skirt instead of being a true maxi skirt even though the measurements for both skirts are listed as L: Waist 29.5"-39.4";Length 42.2" I understand that sizing can be off by a couple cm or an inch but in the photos you can see that there was a significant difference in the length and the waist. ... show more

Ordered the “yellow” what I got was a beige/orange that looks slightly golden due to the satin-like fabric—also unexpected. 3 stars for it fitting and being long enough for me at 5’10”. Will likely return cuz I wanted yellow.

These skirts are bold, graphic, and vibrant - very Kente-inspired and very celebratory. We wore them for our church’s “Hello Day” (African attire for missions in West Africa), and it was perfect. They don’t look cheap. They don’t look random. They look intentional. The length is beautiful and elongating, true to size and the fabric has great movement. We received so many compliments.
