Description

Introducing the new Takeda axle-back exhaust system for the 2012-2013 Honda Civic L4-1.8L. In recent testing this system produced 3 horsepower and 3 pounds x 1 feet of torque. This exhaust is constructed from 2.5 inches brushed finish, mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel and is TIG welded. The system uses a high flow, polished 304 stainless steel muffler which improves performance across the power band while maintaining a great tone. To finish off this exhaust is a 3.5 inches double wall, slash cut, 304 stainless steel Takeda laser etched tip. This exhaust uses all factory hanger locations for a hassle free installation. No modifications necessary. All aFe exhaust systems are engineered and manufactured in Corona, California manufacturing facility. Simple Installation: All systems use factory mounting locations providing stability and hassle-free installation. Leak-free seal: A high quality OE style flange is used to maintain a quality seal for the life of the exhaust system. Aggressive sound: A polished, 304 stainless steel, free flowing muffler is used to absorb high pitch tones producing a powerful sound and unleashing all available horsepower and torque.

I am getting pretty old, but I wanted to add a little audio and visual kick to my 2013 civic EX coupe 5M. Did some youtube research and decided to try this one. It arrived quickly and I installed it within 1 hour of its arrival with just a 12mm box wrench and removing the rear right wheel. When I was younger, I put a Greddy SP cat back exhaust on my 200SX SE-R (best car I've ever owned) and it was so loud that it would set off multiple car alarms every day! That was fun back then, but it would irritate me now. This axle back exhaust emits a nice growl when you get on the throttle, but is relatively tame in regular driving. If this sounds like what you are looking for, I would recommend it for you. It looks to be well made and it fit perfectly, with no additional parts needed. Perhaps add some anti-seize to the threads so it can be removed when desired. ... show more

Quality - Mirror polish on muffler and tip, nice welds. Fit and Install - Didn't even have to jack the car up, remove 2 13mm spring bolts, pull hangers out of rubber mount (might use a little WD40 to slick up the hangers), Pull out the old one and reverse procedure for install. Perfect fit on my 2012 Civic Coupe, doesn't contact the bumper Sound - Nice deep tone but not annoying at all. Sitting at idle it sounds healthy. Cruising at 60mph I don't notice any more noise, downshift to higher RPMs and you know it's there. Performance - Seems to me that low RPM response is quicker but I need to drive it more to get a good feel for performance increase. Mileage - No data yet, I expect to see some improvement just based on better flow. Delivery - Fast shipping when ordered from Amazon prime as supplier. Good packaging to protect it. ... show more

For those wondering this DOES fit all 2015 Civic models, even though the Amazon description says it does not. The will fit ALL 9th gen civic models excluding the SI. The exhaust itself is very well made and highly polished. It looks beautiful. The sound is also amazing. It has a very low, deep pitch. No high pitched "rice" sounds at all. Drone in the car is loud at lower RPMs but goes away at normal driving speed. Throttle response also feels to have improved. I have this exhaust paired with a K&N short ram intake (which Amazon also said did not fit the 2015, but did). If you are looking for a nice exhaust for your 9th gen non SI Civic, this is the one. ... show more

Deffinately sounds fantastic. My only real issue is that its actually not quite Loud enough sometimes and sometimes its a bit too loud. Like when I start the car up while it sounds great it'd be nice if my friends out side the car could hear it and once you get around 3k rpm I end up needing to turn the music up a decent amount to hear over it. But sometimes when everything lines up right it releases some of the best sounds I've ever heard out of a civic. ... show more

I was researching what type of exhaust to get because I didn't want one too noisy, and this is the best option. It doesn't drone often, and it's a low pitch rumble that doesn't sound annoying. You get what you pay for. This is the best axle back exhaust in my opinion you can get for a Honda Civic. Fit beautifully on my civic LX 2014 coupe. When you're flooring it on the highway you're not gonna really hear the deepness of this exhaust you'll hear the roar of your SRI if you have one. This thing is loud and deep when you're going slow at a traffic light or just cruising downtown, Drop a gear with this and everybody will hear you on the highway that's for sure. ... show more
