You guys know how rare it is to pull something out of the box and instantly love it. But I fell in love with this lamp so fast, I've had it unboxed for about 30 minutes and already threw out the packaging. Let's talk about what I love about this grow lamp: * it is really nicely manufactured. It feels solid and the design is quite striking. It looks just like the pictures! It was super easy to assemble. It has a weird barrel connect that the LED "hood" screws into. I was dubious that this would make a good connection but you've just gotta believe! * The light is _not_ pink or cool blue. You can see some little pin points of blue and red lights around this rim but the light it casts on the plant is a nice I'd say Warm Daylight. Probably somewhere between 5000 and 6000 kelvin. They recommend about 4" between the top of the plant and the light. I've got it set about this distance and the top of the leaves clock in at about 1300 lux (no extra daylight). Pretty decent for a little guy! * I didn't realized that this lamp has a touch activated shade and a built in timer. I've seen this touch functionality before but LET ME TELL YOU WHY THIS IS SO COOL. Picture this, you've got a nice plant on this tabletop lamp next to your couch. But then it's the evening and you want to watch a movie. So you have to turn off the lamp, which disrupts the timing cycle and you're going to have to remember to turn it on again before dashing off to work. EXCEPT NOT. The timer cycle is set upon _plugging in the lamp_. If you touch the shade to turn off the light (or even just dim it!), you don't disrupt the timer. OMG, it sounds so small but it feels absolutely luxurious to tap the light on and off as I please. I have it next to my PC and now I can temporarily turn the lamp off when I'm gaming without a second thought I'll edit my review if I experience anything later that detracts this from being 5 stars. The only thing I'm wondering is what will happen when the LED burns out. I know it's a long ways down the road but it feels a little weird buying something I can't maintain. I did look at the manufacturers website and it seems like they sell replacement parts for other products. Maybe they have/will have replacement hoods for this unit as well? ... show more

This product is great. It's quality material and looks expensive. However, I would recommend for larger plants. The directions indicate having 4 inches of space from the lamp to the plant. This does not leave a lot of room for a tall plant. Recommend for smaller plants, especially pothos. It is a quality product and easy to put together. Lights are very bright ... show more

    • Great way to keep a plant thriving
I purchased one for myself a few years ago and love it so much I’ve since bought ones for my mom and sister too. While my original intent was simply to have a plant light that would help keep a plant alive in the rather dimly lit back corner of my home office, when COVID lockdowns made video conferences from home far more frequent, the adjustability of it’s light intensity made it a very attractive background nicely illuminating the plant and the surrounding walls to give things a very professional appearance when so many peoples backgrounds were their kitchen. The app works great and provides both the ability to adjust the lamp live, but also program it for regular schedules. So, the product description isn’t very accurate but I was pleasantly surprised. Pros: - Larger than expected! Base is over 8” in diameter which is awesome, I was worried it might be smaller. The overall height is around 19” and is extendable to around 24” total! Which is awesome! - Several light modes and the app allows for a slow sunrise/sunset dimming option. - Assembly was very simple, couple screws and it was up and running. Light meter readings vary between the light modes. So, you won’t be able to grow everything under this light but for what I need, it’s sufficient (please ignore the sad spider plant I have in the photos.. I’m propagating more for that pot 😅). See the images for light meter readings between the different light modes at 9” from the light source. Pretty decent for slow/moderate growth. Not ideal but will do for what I need. Images are in order of Full Spectrum, White, Warm, Cool. Cons: - The base scratches super easily. I wish it came in other colors too or just natural metal without the cheap paint. Disappointing considering the steep price of this item. - The app is clunky and feels outdated. The light modes should be added as control options on the cable for ease of use without the app. Overall, I’m happy and can’t find another product that has the look, size, light intensity, and dimming options that this one does. It’s pricey but alas, you get what you pay for. I just wish the build was more sturdy and the paint wasn’t cheap. ... show more

Happy with this grow light more the size look and quality this far. No manual that I can see to determine what level the lights should be and for how long but I’ll research elsewhere. Price point was steep but you get what you pay for.
