I've grown a few crops of these, in both Aerogarden and other brand hydroponic setups. They are easy enough to start and keep happy, and a pretty awesome snack to just snap a leaf off when you walk by them. Unfortunately, as with all seed products, a few will inevitably fail to grow. Maybe out of 12 pods, 1 or 2 will nearly always fail. Statistically, this isn't bad, and I'm still happy with the purchases. The part that irritates me is that they have a "guarantee" when using an Aerogarden machine, but over the past year they have never once replaced any pods or even replied with further steps.

This is my second time using aero garden pods and they work great! The first time was using the herb variety kit but honestly the herbs grew too fast and I wasn’t using them enough in my regular cooking so I decided to try out the romaine lettuce pack. It’s been working great! All 6 seed pods germinated and every time I cut the lettuce, more grow bigger and stronger. I live in a hot climate and can’t grow romaine outside for most of the year, so having the ability to grow it so easily inside is great! Just remember to provide the plant food and refill the base with water when prompted and you can’t go wrong!

4 of the 6 pods didn’t germinate, a refund was requested and I sent back the ones that didn’t grow. The company was great to deal with and sent another set of pods. I have had really good luck with this product and the lettuce tastes great! I have the garden in my office and 4 coworkers have purchased the Aero Garden because of the results I have had with mine! I have always had good luck with the pre-filled pods. Not good luck this time! There are six pods in the salad seed kit. Only 2 lettuce pods germinated and are growing. 4 are duds. I inspected the pods, and the seeds are doing nothing after several weeks. Obviously, I cannot return these, but for the price, I would like another kit to try, or money refunded, please.

These heirloom greens make for some great salads. They look nice when they're growing and actually provide quite a bit of output, probably enough for 1-2 salads a week! I did have some issues with germination, 2 of the pods just didn't grow. They will replace them if you submit a request, but it's sorta a pain to wait out the days they expect you to wait and by the time you get replacements, your existing plants have already taken over the spaces where you'd put the replacement pods and they're so far behind. A little frustrating, to be honest. Maybe we just got a bad set, but the name brand stuff shouldn't have problems.
