The Aerobie Sonic Fin is awesome! With a good throw, kids easy hold the ball. A loud whistle whiz that is super fun. I find it easy to use as a novice thrower and my lefty husband uses it no problem too. The distance you can get with it is amazing! Great activity to take to the park!

Got it for my 6 year old nephew for Christmas, though I didn't have a chance to give it to him until now. He loved it. I was worried about the durability based on previous reviews, but it seems durable enough. The fins are a soft plastic, so when they hit the ground they bend instead of break. The only issue I had with it was that the ring that moves the fins for handedness doesn't lock in place, so they will drift back to neutral instead of staying put, which means you have to check and reset them every few throws or so. That being said, it does make it easier to move them for every throw when you're playing catch with someone that has a different handedness, so there's a bit of a tradeoff. Purchased this on lighting deal to play catch with my grandson. Didn't match up to the hype as advertised. Have to be cautious of how you catch it because it has some hard plastic and can hurt.

I got this for my nephew for his birthday. It definitely goes super far as advertised, but when my son and nephew were trying to play catch, it was killing their hands because the green blades at the end are hard plastic.
