This is a great hammock chair. I am a smidge taller than 5'5". With about 6 inches of spare fabric above my head, the edge of the hammock hits me mid-calf. I could get farther up in it and get support down to my ankles. By scrunching the fabric up before getting in it, you can change where your backside ends up. Lying in this thing is so comfortable. It hugs and supports without forcing me into weird positions. We hung this chair under our deck. As a ginger, the sun and I don't get a long well, and our deck is tall, so it gives me shade and a sturdy place to hang the hammock. We used a 5 foot swing strap for attaching swings to trees to hang this so we didn't have to drill into the deck supports. I put the hammock on the bar inside out. The pocket is on the outside for me because of that. I don't care enough to fix it, but if you want that pocket next to you on the inside, double check it before you put the top rope on. The top rope might look too short at first, but it stretches out. Overall, I am enjoying my morning time in the hammock chair. I am in Missouri and it has been too hot to be out in the afternoon and way to muggy in the evening, but the breezes in the morning feel wonderful. You get good air movement because the back is the only part that really blocks airflow. The only downside to the chair so far is that it deposited a fair bit of lint on my clothes. I assume that will go away with time. I got the waterproof cover to go over it when it isn't in use. It is useful to keep the chair itself clean and dry. We have birds that like to nest under the deck, so it's not just rain I want to keep off of the hammock! I know myself well enough to know that I won't use the chair as much if I feel the need to clean it before each use.

This was a very sturdy and attractive hammock chair! Our son is 275 pound and 6 foot and this chair and this chair was able to support him comfortably. I hung this chair in our carport in our front yard so that there was some seating for our son to hang out with our chickens. We put it up and take it down when not in use, and it easily stories in a patio box. It’s lightweight and easy to move around. The hammock chair came with an installation and use manual, so it was easy to set up and took under 5 minutes. It came with all the necessary hardware. We decided to upgrade to a 360 swivel hanging hook as we have a lot of space to use it as a swing as well. The hardware is heavy weight and sturdy. The chair is nicely constructed and ours had a nice striped blue pattern. The rope was good quality and earthy. Overall, I would recommend this hammock chair based on its quality and weight rating, construction and durability, and large size chair.

I rarely review anything but I was just scrolling past my previous purchases and seeing this one I knew I needed to review it before I forgot. I bought this for my autistic adult child and he loves it and has spent the better part of a year in this hammock and swings half the day every day. It has held up to his heavy usage in his “hang out” room. The durability has amazed me. Awesome price for the quality. The whole stand fits in his room inside the house and it’s easy to move and looks great. Great job with this hammock chair!! Love it!

Update to Original Review (below) - The Company contacted me after I reviewed the product and offered a full refund, which I thought was very nice. However, in the couple days between the review and the refund offer - I really started liking the chair. As mentioned, it's not as "lengthy" as suggested, but the more I sit in it, the more comfortable it gets. And while there is a little fraying, it stopped without going very far and I haven't noticed it continuing. It does feel sturdy and I am comfortable in it - definitely keeping and enjoying it. Original Review -Not as roomy as it suggests. I'm 5'7" - 185# - and the material started fraying around the ropes a little when I sat down the first time. Would probably return it if I hadn't already thrown away the packaging.

The most comfortable swing chair I have ever sat it. I love it! It wraps around you and you can just swing yourself to sleep! I can't sit still long in a traditional chair but I can in my hammock chair. We hung it in the living room! It's made very well and sturdy. It looks great too! I recommend it highly and am planning to order more for the porch!
