  • Sturdy carport with wonderful customer service.
Style: 8 Legs Color: Green
If you're looking for a study cover with great customer service to give you peace of mind - THIS IS IT! We needed another canopy top after about 7 months in the rather harsh Florida weather. I contacted their support team through the Amazon website and typed up a quick request. They responded within 24 hours seeking confirmation of the shipping address and a quick picture before processing the entire replacement with shipping free of charge. I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Kelly from their support team who was polite and professional during the entire conversation. They even checked back with me after the replacement delivery to make sure everything arrived undamaged and installed smoothly. The carport itself is fantastic. Putting everything together by myself took about an hour and a half with occasional breaks. The canopy top uses a bungee cord with a ball system allowing for quick and easy installation and replacement. The height adjustment system they have also works flawlessly and secures nicely. My sincere gratitude to Kelly for making the replacement process quick and painless! They stand by their product and go to great lengths to keep their customers happy. ... show more

  • Year old, honest review!
Style: 8 Legs Color: Beige
This carport has been in use for a year now. It provides great UV protection. The structure is lightweight and not meant to be permanent. I live in Florida and currently getting ready for the 3rd hurricane since I purchased. The tarp roof is easy to remove in about 15 minutes, very functional quick release shock cords. It’s sturdy enough for normal storms and weather. I have the base secured to the driveway with tapcons. The metal frame is galvanized and has held up well. The tarp needed to be replaced after about a year, but are affordable and easy to find on Amazon. Overall, it’s a great solution until I build a permanent structure (just need to get around to it)! I would buy again. ... show more

  • Honest (updated) review from one woman 10x20 with sidewalls
Style: 8 Legs with Sidewall Color: Gray
Original 3 star review posted 9/23/23: One petite woman, a step ladder, goggles (IMPORTANT MUST HAVE) and a pair of gloves put this together without other help. Here's what I learned. I purchased this 10x20 carport canopy with sidewalls, because it looked sturdy and I trust the reviews. I liked the steel frame, the added support beams, the canopy was iffy, but it's subject to wear and tear, so I knew that I'd need to replace it at some point. Most of all, I liked the customer service. I figured if anything went wrong, customer service would take care of it promptly. That said, I would rather nothing went wrong and I never need customer service. This carport arrived and was needed at a time when I didn't have any help assembling it. It took this petite lady and a stepladder 8 hours to put it together with no help. Yes a single person can put it together relatively easily if parts are complete, to spec and instructions were clear. My first task was laying out the pipes where they belong, but first I had to match the model number of my canopy to the right page in the instruction manual. ALL the models are in the same manual, make sure you're looking at the right page, or it'll get confusing quickly. Luckily I had the box nearby, so I was able to look it up in the manual easily. Once everything was laid out, connecting them and finally getting the frame built was pretty easy. I would say only 25% of my time went toward assembling the frame. BTW the support beams slip over the pipes like a sleeve, it took me awhile to figure that out, since it was not in the instructions. The rest of my time was wasted over installing the canopy. I say 'wasted', because the roof canopy I received was approximately 6 inches too short. This made it very difficult to attach it to the frame with the bungee cords provided. It's not a matter of using longer bungee cords, the cover simply wasn't big enough to fit over the frame on the wider/longer side of the carport. So more hours spent pulling, stretching the canopy (via the grommets) to the max to finally get it onto the roof. Next came the side wall. The shrinkage was even worse. It's short a good 6-8 inches. I had to pull the side walls so much that the grommets and bungees were at their breaking max. Which brings me to the importance of wearing eye protection when installing the canopy and side wall. Because the roof canopy and sidewalls were too short, in order for them to fit, you have to stretch them and the bungee cords to their max, I pulled very slowly to avoid accidentally popping the bungee cord and have it boomerang back to my face/eyes. If you don't have goggles, even a pair of cheap sunglasses is better than no protection. I trust the numerous reviews that mentioned the poor quality of the canopy. I didn't have a problem with the thickness or quality of the canopy, I have a problem with the SIZE. I think the short canopy and therefore grommets, being stretched beyond their max is what causes the canopy to fail prematurely. A well fitted one would definitely improve the durability of this carport/canopy. I don't know if it was a cost savings move to make the canopy shorter than it needs to be, or a quality control issue at the factory level. I would be ok paying more for a well fitting canopy. This isn't a little camping tent to pop up and down for easy returns/replacement. Even if I were offered a replacement canopy and sidewalls, I am still faced with the hassle of having to take the old one down and putting the new one up and still not knowing if the new set will fit, unless I measure it to compare to the old one, still a hassle. In summary my message to the company - The frame is a winner. Fix the canopy. Don't cut corners to be competitive on price. If you have to charge more to cover the extra cost, because everything is going up nowadays, we get it, customers like me who want quality product and to get it right the first time, without the hassle and wasted time would willingly pay for it. In the meantime, I'll wait to see how long the grommets will hold before they rip the canopy, or if the company contacts me and I'll report back. Thanks for reading. Update 11/27/23: The company saw my review about 3 weeks after it posted and promptly contacted me about making it right. After some back and forth emails about whether I assembled it correctly and having to submit pictures to show that the roof and side walls were indeed too short, company agreed to send me replacements. In the midst of all this, I wanted to be fair to the seller, since I'm a one woman assembly crew and wanted to make sure that I did everything correctly, I paid my neighbor's construction crew $200 during break (neighbor was having their house remodeled so I went over there with my dilemma) to take down and reinstall the roof canopy and side walls and push all the connectors and corners in. Two of the burliest guys accepted the challenge to see if they could pull the canopy and side walls over the frame better than this little lady did. They couldn't, ha! This little lady did it right the first time and the canopy and side wall were indeed too short. Replacements arrived just before the holidays and I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to see if the replacements fit better. As mentioned in my original review, given the size of this thing (10x20x10/11 feet tall), it is a hassle for me to take down and put up replacements, so I'm using it as is for the time being, or pay the neighbor's construction crew when they're back on the job again. I'm undecided about this. Also, in the couple of months that I've owned this thing, we've already had a handful of strong wind storms in the area and this thing has held up well. Now I did place weights on all of the legs and tie downs on the corner ones, I also kept the door closed/zipped and the structure was placed against a 6' tall side and back wall, so I think the combination kept the carport well in place. In conclusion, would I buy from this seller again? Yes absolutely! Any seller that stands behind their product and communicates as well as these guys did is worthy of my recommendation. They definitely earned 5 stars for customer service. 4 stars for the hassle and the added cost for me out of pocket to get to this point. If I had to assemble it all over again, I think this time I'd put the roof canopy up over the roof frame before putting up the legs. The instructions say to fully assemble the entire structure before putting up the roof canopy and side walls. If you are a one person crew like me, I would finish assembling the roof frame, install the roof canopy while the frame is still ground level, this would be so much easier (and safer) than my having to manipulate the 10x20 canopy (and bungees) over a 10-11' tall structure while standing on a tall step ladder. I would then install the legs, then finish the side walls. Hope this review helps and Happy Holidays! ... show more

  • Good buy for the money
Dont let the image fool you. This is a durable tent garage. We had gotten 24" one night, and it was just too much for the frame to handle. This was easy to assemble and adjust for different heights. The first winter, I used it at the lowest height as a carport. In the spring, I moved it onto my deck and added lights. This winter, I had it covering my boat. Sadly, it did only last a year and a half. But, it did very well considering the wind and snow it had to endure. ... show more

  • After 6 months, I do not recommend this product
Style: 8 Legs with Sidewall Color: Beige
The media could not be loaded. The frame is strong and solid, but the canvas and grommets are tearing away and only 5 months. The elastic straps that are used to secure the canvas to the frame become hyper-extended in less than 2 months and start breaking after that. This is easy to rectify with zip ties, but the trick will be replacing the grommets in a way that won't cause more damage to the tarp. Update, one month later (total of 6 months after purchase) The same going down the center had split, and by the time I took it down at the end of the day, There were strings and shreds hanging from it as well as the split traveling down the sides of the roof seems. I wasted money on a grommet kit, because the material is already so badly sun damaged that it will not hold a new grommet or even allow gorilla tape to stick to it cuz it just comes off with the flakes of the canvas surface. I do know poly tarps only last about 2 years in hot climates such as Florida, but this was only 6 months and I'm having to take down my carport now because the frame by itself is useless no matter how sturdy it is. I'm so sad to have spent this much money, plus the money I spent for repair attempts, and now I'm left with no protection for my travel trailer. ... show more
