I've had 2 10x10' pop-up canopys that did not survive the wind and rain. Paid around $80-90 for them. Purchased this 10x15' A-frame canopy. Overall, A great purchase!!. 1st - the frame poles are heavy duty compared to the pop-ups, 2nd the fabric is much heavier than the pop-up canvas. I put this on my deck and screw the base to the deck, plus drilled holes in the pole and braced the frame to the deck rails. An A-frame is always going to be strong than a pop-up. Also it went together (with 2, actually 4) with very little effort. One pole had a dent that we were able to deal with. I've attached some pictures to explain a couple of things the instructions don't make clear (pictures are poor). Notice where the bungees belong - inside the canopy. Second the corners are suppose to have double bungees. Have fun getting them on. Also, notice how to attach the clip on the outside of the pole. Hope this helps. The only reason I give this product a 4 vs 5+ is that you can't purchase a replacement canopy top according to the web site. Lastly, something to think about - I intend to remove the canvas during the winter and leave the frame up. This will require a lot more work putting the canvas back up come spring. I live in upstate NY so I need to think about snow load. Hope this helps!

Very nice carport. This 12ft wide carport replaces a 10ft wide that was installed. The extra width is perfect. I also used 24” auger stakes to anchor it to the ground on either side of my cement driveway. Very happy with our purchase. Easy to assemble too with two people.

I recently set up this 10×20 heavy-duty canopy and couldn’t be happier with how it performs. I've owned at least 10 canopy tents of this style in the past and, at this point, know all the points of failure. For the first time, I've found one that addresses them all. This is the best one I've found at this price point. First, the steel framework is about double the thickness of others and interlock with a peg that keeps joints from sliding loose when the wind rocks it back and forth. Wind is the enemy, and it helps if it's the tent placed where the wind passes through rather than hits it perpendicular to the canopy. Though, if it's unavoidable, the canopy is secured via bungee cords completely across the side railings as well as along the frame's peaks creating a neat and snug fit. I have only one tent that does this and it's been up for 5 years. This manufacturer takes it a step further with additional loops that hook to the sides of each leg post, which really lock it all down. It really matters! As for the frame - and this is important - 8 legs is better than 6 and the braces on each corner, as well as across all 4 of the ceiling joists adds the stability needed to withstand the elements year-round. The last few tents I ordered from other vendors didn't have these and it is indeed why they never lasted. One big wind gust and the others collapsed like a house of cards. This system is supported at every connection point, so the weight is distributed more evenly. It handles rain just fine. If you live in a snowy zone, it can handle the snow, but not heavy ice. Though, I go out with a broom and knock the snow off the top from the bottom once it gets about 2-3". If you don't plan on investing that time, you can secure wire tension cables to the frame in an "X" pattern in each section before installing the canopy for extra support. As for the wind, as long as it's positioned and secured properly, it may sway a bit (by design), but mine has held up to 50mph gusts without issue. I ordered the 12x20' canopy and it came with extension pieces that connect to each leg raise the height up to 1-2ft taller. It included bolts and nuts to secure them to the base feet before securing to the ground. While it comes with stakes, I ordered some more robust tant stakes design for camping in the mountains. Though, if you're just popping this up for a temporary project, the included stakes are fine.
