Top Amazon Reviews

  • Honest review from one woman 10x20 with sidewalls
One petite woman, a step ladder, goggles (IMPORTANT MUST HAVE) and a pair of gloves put this together without other help. Here's what I learned. I purchased this 10x20 carport canopy with sidewalls, because it looked sturdy and I trust the reviews. I liked the steel frame, the added support beams, the canopy was iffy, but it's subject to wear and tear, so I knew that I'd need to replace it at some point. Most of all, I liked the customer service. I figured if anything went wrong, customer service would take care of it promptly. That said, I would rather nothing went wrong and I never need customer service. This carport arrived and was needed at a time when I didn't have any help assembling it. It took this petite lady and a stepladder 8 hours to put it together with no help. Yes a single person can put it together relatively easily if parts are complete, to spec and instructions were clear. My first task was laying out the pipes where they belong, but first I had to match the model number of my canopy to the right page in the instruction manual. ALL the models are in the same manual, make sure you're looking at the right page, or it'll get confusing quickly. Luckily I had the box nearby, so I was able to look it up in the manual easily. Once everything was laid out, connecting them and finally getting the frame built was pretty easy. I would say only 25% of my time went toward assembling the frame. BTW the support beams slip over the pipes like a sleeve, it took me awhile to figure that out, since it was not in the instructions. The rest of my time was wasted over installing the canopy. I say 'wasted', because the roof canopy I received was approximately 6 inches too short. This made it very difficult to attach it to the frame with the bungee cords provided. It's not a matter of using longer bungee cords, the cover simply wasn't big enough to fit over the frame on the wider/longer side of the carport. So more hours spent pulling, stretching the canopy (via the grommets) to the max to finally get it onto the roof. Next came the side wall. The shrinkage was even worse. It's short a good 6-8 inches. I had to pull the side walls so much that the grommets and bungees were at their breaking max. Which brings me to the importance of wearing eye protection when installing the canopy and side wall. Because the roof canopy and sidewalls were too short, in order for them to fit, you have to stretch them and the bungee cords to their max, I pulled very slowly to avoid accidentally popping the bungee cord and have it boomerang back to my face/eyes. If you don't have goggles, even a pair of cheap sunglasses is better than no protection. I trust the numerous reviews that mentioned the poor quality of the canopy. I didn't have a problem with the thickness or quality of the canopy, I have a problem with the SIZE. I think the short canopy and therefore grommets, being stretched beyond their max is what causes the canopy to fail prematurely. A well fitted one would definitely improve the durability of this carport/canopy. I don't know if it was a cost savings move to make the canopy shorter than it needs to be, or a quality control issue at the factory level. I would be ok paying more for a well fitting canopy. This isn't a little camping tent to pop up and down for easy returns/replacement. Even if I were offered a replacement canopy and sidewalls, I am still faced with the hassle of having to take the old one down and putting the new one up and still not knowing if the new set will fit, unless I measure it to compare to the old one, still a hassle. In summary my message to the company - The frame is a winner. Fix the canopy. Don't cut corners to be competitive on price. If you have to charge more to cover the extra cost, because everything is going up nowadays, we get it, customers like me who want quality product and to get it right the first time, without the hassle and wasted time would willingly pay for it. In the meantime, I'll wait to see how long the grommets will hold before they rip the canopy, or if the company contacts me and I'll report back. Thanks for reading. ... show more

  • Canopy Cover Leaks Rain Water
Style: 8 Legs Color: White
This product would be rated 5 star if not for the rain leaks. I used this canopy during the hot summer months and observed it leaking during its first rain. The leaks occurred wherever the canopy cover is supported by the canopy frame. However, if you have a problem with this product the seller offers excellent customer service. Martina with customer service worked with me to get a replacement canopy cover soon after reporting my problem to the seller. ... show more

  • Awesome customer service
Style: 8 Legs with Sidewall Color: Beige
I purchased a 10x20 canopy with side walls. I put it together alone without any issues. It seemed a little flimsy at first but has held up in a couple of different monsoons in AZ. I did notice the eyelets on the cover started to rip and separated. I messaged Kelly with the customer service and she responded quickly. I sent photos of the torn eyelets and they sent me a replacement. It was a pleasant experience working with Kelly and the company. Thank you ... show more

  • This seller / company has been great! The product also!
Style: 8 Legs Color: Beige
I don't write reviews often (I should probably do more) however this seller has been absolutely great. I purchased the 10'x20' carport in September 2020. I live where we have frequent / yearly tropical storms and hurricanes. Before a storm, which happens a couple times a year, I take the canopy off. The frame has always survived. I used tapcons to secure the legs to the driveway. Over the past three years I've had to purchase a replacement canopy and just yesterday had to get another. The sun and weather here really takes a toll on things and so I expected I would have to replace the canopy every few years. This carport serves its purpose though, providing shade to my vehicles. The seller has always been responsive to questions and most especially helping me get replacement parts (I had to purchase a new leg pole once because I hit it with my car and damaged it... opps!). In addition to their customer service's quick responses, they have been super friendly and very considerate. The customer service is the impetus for this review and simply put, they are great! I'm also very happy with the product. I would purchase another one, and just might for my backyard. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. This carport is ~$250 and it IS worth it. The most important thing, I think, is to consider how you secure it to the ground. Like I said, I used tapcons to secure it to my concrete driveway but then also used paracord tied to the top of the corner legs and staked in the ground to give it more support (since I live where it can get quite windy). The sun destroys the paracord quickly so I may use a thin cable or some other kind of wire next. In conclusion, the product has been very good for me. But what impresses me the most is the customer service, they have been truly great. Thank yoU! ... show more
