So let me start by saying that I was 8 months pregnant when I received this item. I did not know that I misplaced the assembly instructions when I first opened the box. Fast forward a couple of days to when I was ready to assemble but thought I never received the instructions. Everyone (other customers and the seller) we’re super responsive, however I could not wait for a new set of instructions to be delivered as I was eager to have the rocking chair set up that evening. The assembly is EASY I was able to figure out how to assemble the entire chair (minus a few washers here and there) on my own with no direction! I have had no prior experience assembling furniture with the exception of a children’s bookshelf. Just wanted to really highlight how easy assembly is! As for quality it is everything I expected!     • Bottom Line: This is a MUST HAVE for the quality and the price!!
What caught my eye about this first and foremost was the price. I wanted something for my nursery that I could use often, looked nice, and that wasn't upholstered (due to baby spit ups). This rocking chair is awesome! It was easy to assemble and comes with everything necessary to put it together (allen wrench, bolts, washers, spacers, etc). Directions were super easy to follow! My only struggle was the final bolt which was slightly misaligned from the hole. As a mechanical engineer with familiarity in bolting standards, I loosened the other 5 bolts, but still found that I was unable to place the final 6th bolt onto the base. I just left it off as 2 bolts per side (4 total) probably would be sufficient from a structural standpoint. I was nervous about scratches on the wood floors so I also bought some long felt strips that I applied to the bottom of the rocking rails. Bottom line: This is a must have for your nursery not only if you don't want to spend a ton of money on furniture, but purely because it's a great looking rocking chair and is super sturdy! ... show more

    • I really like the chair
I really like the chair. Assembly took maybe 30 minutes but was doable, and I did it alone at 8 months pregnant! It wasn't as complicated as some other reviews said. My complaints are that it arrived and smelled like fresh spray paint. The paint actually had rubbed off onto the plastic it was packaged in. Also, for the price, it should have had more coats of paint on it. There are parts of the chair that are very lightly painted and you can see the natural wood streaks under the paint. The disappointing part is that there are 2 big nicks in the back of the seat area. It arrived like that. My opinion is that it wasn't sanded completely smooth and the paint was too fresh and just peeled off those areas. Luckily for me, we also got a rocking chair pad that covers the nicks and so it isn't an issue at the moment. Because baby is due soon, and its the holidays, it is too stressful to deal with returning it or exchanging it, as the chair is exactly what I wanted and I like it. But eventually, I will have to have it sanded and painted, which is a bummer, because we spent a decent amount of money on this chair, and it's brand new. My expectation was that it would come in perfect condition. ... show more

    • Nice medium-sized rocking chair
I like this rocking chair - not too big, not too small. I'm petite: 5'1", 115 lbs. Usually rocking chairs are too high & wide for me. This chair isn't too big, which is nice. I still use a stool if I'm going to be sitting for a long time, but for a short while, it's not needed. My only negative is that after assembling it, there are hole on the outside of the leg that could use some filling. ... show more

Very pleased, and we felt it is a good value. CAUTION TIPS: directions are all pictures, no writing, so here are some tips organize all parts, then start assembly using only finger tight until all parts assembled. Set up right and begin to SNUG down bolts BUT do not over tighten. Lightly sit, rock twice, get up and retighten firm all hardware. LAST of all screw hole covers/buttons are not provided. Hardware store should have 1/4" dowel buttons. Paint to match and lightly glue in for finished look. ... show more

    • Lovely white rocking chair
I am so very pleased with my rocking chair. It has an airy feel, because of the pretty back slats. It took a bit of time and expense assembling it, but it looks great. I contacted customer service because where the screws go in, there were big holes. They responded quickly and assured me that the plugs are on their way. The light from my sliding door shines right through the slats. I love it!! ... show more
