This set came well packaged and protected. I'm using an xTool P2S 55w CO2 laser to cut, score, and engrave. I recommend that you do a test matrix first as I could dial down the recommended device settings for cleaner and quicker results. Price is right and quality is very good. As a woodsmith and carpenter, simulated woods used to offend my sensibilities but as I've aged wood in itself is rapidly depleting, especially workable stocks; really beautiful woods are the highest of pleasures to work with, I'll be at it until my heart stops, and in all of that I can/do/will see and use simulated stock as well - especially when it looks as gorgeous as these do, I'm seriously impressed with how good these look. No, it's not going to pass for real wood, nor is it meant to; one uses these to 'throw an ode' to wood, especially for functions where real wood isn't a real option. I'm into restoring, refurbing, upgrading, and even custom-building PCs, NUCs, and such; making cases for things is part of it for some, and being able to incorporate simulated woods into them is going to look sexy-sweet, as well as giving my work as a builder a bit of a personal distinction. The 1/8" is the optimal thickness for such, too thick (and too short dimensionally) to worry about bending or warping - this stuff is thick and dense enough to break before flexing very much. 30 bucks for 8 pieces wants to feel high priced, but it really isn't, I can see having to fork out at least 3$ per, if not 5$ for these 8-bys. My creative brain side is running through all the different things I can make or enhance with these, I'm quite certain I'll be buying a lot more of this kind of material, I'm really getting into fabricating with the acrylic and other plastic sheets, the limitless functionality of the product is immense, hence the particulate crisis of this age - but like as not, it's here and not ever going away; better responsibility on the disposal end of the plastics' life cycle is the real issue. And, these acrylics are much more stable than the disposable single-use trash, this is a quality product, full stop.

Since getting into acrylic recently I have just got rid that there are many many different kinds that I had no idea existed. This wood grain acrylic is absolutely gorgeous! I wish I had known about it sooner. I have so many projects in mind for this. It is so unique and beautiful. The wood grain actually looks pretty real too. I love that you also get a variety of different patterns and colors in this set. I do wish that it was easier to tell which one was which from the side without having to peel the paper back. I keep the paper on mine when cutting to avoid the acrylic remnants from sticking to the top. With these I've just had to use the Dawn dish soap method instead. Regardless it has still turned out gorgeous every time. This is one that I will definitely be reordering as long as they keep it in stock.

This is basically a 'sampler' pack of faux wood-grain acrylic pieces. They look fantastic, and cut beautifully in a Glowforge Pro using the medium-thickness proofgrade settings. The thickness on average measures at about 2.68mm, which is less than 90% of the advertised thickness. This may be an issue if your project requires layered materials and/or has very specific size requirements. The appearance is really impressive, although each piece has a smooth, high-gloss acrylic surface (no wood-grain texture). It also should be noted that, although both the front and back sides of the pieces feature the beautiful wood grain appearance, the color tone doesn't necessarily match front-to-back - in other words, a piece on one side might have a warmer hue than the color viewed from the reverse side. That stated, these are super-impressive in appearance, and could add a stunning level of style to the right project.

Really good quality and nice wood patterns. My laser cutter is very happy. My only wish is that they were better labeled as to which pattern they were. They have protective adhesive paper on both sides so it’s hard to tell what you’re getting.

I came across these online and thought they might be a cool addition to our laser cutter projects. It seems like they’ve added a layer of fake wood in the center. Some of them are even offset to the side, which could be useful for engraving. You can see the pattern in the wood grain. It’s not exactly high-quality, but it’s good enough for our needs. The acrylic cuts well in the laser cutter and seems to be consistent in thickness. Overall, the size is also good. This will give us more options for our projects.

There weren't any labels or branding on these. Just in a plastic ziplock bag. Some slight damage and scratches to the outside, even though they are protected by paper on both sides. But also because of that, there is no way to tell what they look like unless you peel off the protective backing. The size is just shy of 8", at about 201mm. The thickness is pretty accurate at 3mm. Aside from all that, it's a nice looking acrylic with textures that look like wood embedded in a clear gloss acrylic.
