After seeing the price of this harness, I didn't want to buy it, but after having bought 4 other harnesses on amazon that were all garbage and a waste of 25 bucks, I decided the price might mean this was worth it. This is the best Bari sax harness out there, I'm a student and I've used my sax heavily every day for the past two years and this thing finally broke, it wasn't because of poor quality or anything like that, i just carry my sax a lot and move it around on the harness a ton. It didn't snap or anything, the metal bit keeping the clip on just got worn out after years of concerts and traveling, but I can assure you that this is the best harness on the market, I'm upset that mine broke but from now on this is the only harness I'll ever be buying because i don't want to use any other harness than this one, its so comfortable an takes all the weight, i can play all day in this harness and i have. I hope this review helps you make up your mind because i don't want you to have the same experience i had with all the other ones.

I play baritone saxophone and a shoulder harness is the only way to go! The one I was using was wearing out, so I ordered this to try it. It comes with a clip in the back to hook to the waistband of your pants, and I did not use it, but maybe I needed to because it would tend to slide down in the front, and I was often readjusting the strap to where I wanted it. I think it should work without that clip, because what if you wear a dress, overalls, or wear it over your uniform jacket - what are you going to clip it to? I will give this five stars because it is well-made and comfortable and easy to put on, but I did end up giving it away to a fellow section member because I was tired of readjusting as mentioned above..

Shows it’s good for a bass guitar, but, yeah don’t waste money on it for a guitar or bass guitar, unless you want it to hang to your knees and you want to do modifications to your guitar. It’s just taking up space in a junk drawer at the moment.

I've had trouble with neck and shoulder stress and pain. I've tried several straps/harnesses to alieviate that stress. This one did it. The big difference is the strap in the back that clips to the rear side of the belt line. This transferes the force over the shoulders to the trousers, there is no "forward pulling" force. That said I did replace the original clips, which were too flimsy. I bought a set of suspenders and attached those clips. Very satisfied after this mod. It does take a bit getting used to the set up. Once adjusted I leave the right side front clip attached and slip it over, attach the left clip, and then attach the back side clips. Now I can focus on fine tuning those chops rather than the discomfort.

This is a comfortable harness, but all the weight of the bari sax hangs on the metal hook which is causing an indent in the hook eventually lead it to break.

The harness appears as shown in the ad and arrived in a timely manner. I have found that the balance and support is good except for the back belt clips and the covering on the horn hook. The back belt snaps are pitifully weak and come off the belt or waist band with the slightest movement when standing or bending over for any reason while the horn is on the hook. . The covering on the horn hook parted the second time the weight of the horn hit it.
