  • A good beginner instrument
Color: Orange
I've been playing for over 30 years and wanted something affordable to keep around the living room just to keep the fingers busy (while the Les Paul rests with the remainder of the in home studio). This basic classical guitar does the job. Don't expect a "quality" instrument, but for the money you'll get something that is sufficiently pleasing for nonchalant playing. The tuning pegs are cheap, but they hold the strings in tune well once the instrument has acclimated to room temperature and you've stretched the strings. The strings it arrived with are basic nylon/metal, nothing great but they to what they're supposed to do. The guitar has good action with no fret related issues. The overall sound is acceptable for just mucking about, but I wouldn't lay down a track using it if there was another available of better quality. It came with the stated additional equipment but I have not opened that yet as I already have all of it and will keep it as backup. Given my low expectations, I am pleased with the purchase and it will do the job I intended it for. ... show more

  • Decent for beginners, bridge fell off after 3.5 years...
Color: Nature
This is a decent for beginners, but of fairly low quality (and correspondingly low price). After 3.5 years of gentle use and strung with medium tension strings, the bridge came unglued and separated from the body.

  • Well constructed guitar and basic accessory kit
Color: Nature
The chromatic tuner was helpful in setting up the guitar for use. The stand gives me a safe storage place, and the foot rest helps with proper positioning. The storage bag holds my music and tools and helps keep instrument clean. With an additional purchase of guitar picks, a strap, replacement strings, nail clippers (long fingernails must go - put clippers/nail file with your gear!) instruction book, and TAB paper to go with my music staff notebook - I was playing melodies and chord progressions in a few days. The calluses gradually come to the fingertips, and playing time becomes easier with multiple short sessions (10-15 minutes of concentration at a time - to tune, practice a skill, and play actual songs.) Very inexpensive to get started and instrument has lovely tone quality and is sturdy to help the novice obtain good results. ... show more

  • VERY Decent Classical Guitar!
Color: Nature
I'm really liking my full-size ADM classical guitar! I "cut my teeth" on a classical during my high school and college years, then got into the electric scene, then steel-string acoustic, and more recently the ukulele. So this guitar felt a little strange in my hands when I first held it. But I put my other instruments aside and have played nothing but this one for the last couple of weeks, and I'm now finding that it feels much more familiar, and seems to be "opening up" and warming in its sound and tone, in a good way. The action is well within normal tolerances; the truss rod seems to have been adjusted just fine at the factory; and the "intonation" is very accurate-- stays in tune with itself all up and down the fret board. I did encounter some sharp fret ends, but I smoothed them down with my trusty fine-grade sanding sponge, and it feels very comfortable now. The tuning buttons on my model are more like a standard "butter bean" shape than the fancier tuning buttons shown in the promotional photos, but they are still plenty attractive. All in all, I think this guitar offers a very good cost-to-quality ratio. I love the contrast of the black sides and back, with the blondish top. This guitar has inspired me to re-visit that wonderful nylon-string sound, and I'm having a lot of fun trying to learn Earl Klugh's fingerstyle song "This Time", which Earl did on a nylon-string guitar. This was money well spent, without a doubt! ... show more

  • Completely astounded by what I received. Please Please get it.
Color: Nature
This guitar sounds wonderful!!! I did not expect such a high quality item for 100 dollars. There is a discrepancy between the video and the item photos. The video posted with this shows a guitar with brown sides, they are black as shown in the pictures. I am 28 now and have played guitar since 14 and have owned a lot of guitars. This easily has the quality and sound of a 500 or more guitar. It has a truss rod so is adjustable. I'm blown away by how nice the fretboard is, beautifully smooth nice smooth frets, it does not look cheap in the slightest bit. It came with a tuner that does its job and is a nice plus. It also came with a foot stool, that is of a lower quality but again does its job and is worth the addition considering the price of the kit. The capo isn't bad at all either. I expected it to be a cheap very plasticy item, it is plastic but not nastily cheap. The strings are on the guitar I am left handed so I had to switch them around and none broke so I am happy about that. The case I also expected to be cheaper than it was its thin but not like the thin that rips if something brushes it so It can be handled but it could be ripped. The tuners needed to be tightened and the guitar adjusted but that really is a common thing with any guitar, hence the reason you have the ability to do it. All this being said I paid 100 dollars total for this. I would have paid 250. The guitars sound is so beautiful and warm, I really did not expect to get what I got. I could not be happier with the purchase and would HIGHLY HIGHLY yes two times, recommend this to anyone. I was picking between an SX CL and a Kona LTSB I have played the Kona already and was seeking a cheap guitar for relearning guitar as I haven't owned one in about a year and had to get rid of the others. I really have owned a lot of guitars. The best acoustic-electric/acoustic/classical guitar I have owned was an Ovation I paid 900 dollars for that guitar, the sound of this guitar literally blows that one out of the park. If you are considering buying a guitar for under 200 this is definitely the ticked. The additions to the kit make it worth even more. Undoubtedly worth 100 dollars! Please get it if you are considering you will not regret it. ... show more
