I love this guitar. I've ordered two because the neck split on my first one (my fault, I kept it in my backseat and a friend stepped on it). My experience was the same with both guitars, did not initially hold tune, but after a few plays the strings set in and now holds tune just fine. It's not the best quality but great for the price and has a pleasant ukulele sound. I like to keep it in my car bc it's small and cheap so it's replaceable if it gets stolen or damaged it not a big deal. The tuner it came with isn't bad at all, which is great bc you'll need it in the beginning. I've attached a video. I tore the green sticker around the soundhole off bc I preferred how it looked without it. ... show more

This 30 inch guitar ADM 30 Inch Beginner Acoustic/Classical Guitar with Carrying Bag & Accessories, Black Gloss is perfect for beginners. My 16 year old son knows how to play and my 7 year old nephew wants to take lessons. My Nephews birthday is in September. I got this for his birthday gift. My 16 year old got it out of the box to check it out for defects and to tune it for my nephew. It is a very nice classic guitar. We were impressed with everything it comes with. There won't be a need to purchase any thing extra because it was all included, which is fantastic! It's smaller size will make it much easier for my 7 year old nephew to maneuver and play. The sound is good and it is made of great quality materials and is made with pride, considering that they give you a warranty they are confident in the construction of the product they make. Guitar is ok, small and well built, perfect for kids. I am an experienced guitarist, 25 years of experience and I can tell this guitar is great for kids as you can get real riffs out of it, tune it and it holds it well. Just one thing, the battery for the tuner is not included so you need to spend an extra five bucks or so. ... show more

    • Good bargain for a young beginner
This beginner guitar was well worth the price! This was a gift for my 7-year old daughter and it fits her well. I have been playing acoustic and electric guitar for years and was able to tune this in a few minutes. It takes more adjustments than a guitar with steel strings because the nylon strings stretch and relax. Expect to retune each time you play for a couple weeks until they have set-in. I have not had to make any adjustments after about 2-3 weeks. The accessories are a nice extra bonus with this item. I didn't bother using the tuner--just download a free tuning app. The soft case is not padded, so it's import to take this time to teach your kids how to properly care for instruments. It is not a toy. Sound quality is pretty good for the price. I get a little buzzing on some notes, but it's not too bad. My biggest gripe is there are no fret markers. This might be because it's a classical guitar? Whatever the reason, I just stuck some small dot stickers on the neck to mark the frets and it's fine. I would buy it again, maybe for my other child so they can both play together. ... show more

Bought the 30” guitar for a just turned 6 year old boy, average size. If he was any bigger, the guitar would be too small. He recently had decided that he wanted to learn to play. Surprisingly, the guitar came strung with three nylon strings and three steel coated strings. This is a perfect beginner guitar for the price. Not sure if this will be a toy or if he actually will take lessons seriously as he is a very active/ short attention span little boy. He absolutely loved it. I purchased this guitar thinking it would be a regular sized instrument - not one for a child. Needless to say, I was initially fairly upset with the purchase. Upon realizing that I wouldn't be able to use the guitar; I gave it to my now 2 year old. She's has this guitar for roughly a year, and it was not been destroyed! This guitar is strong enough to stand up to a 2 year old's reckless/rough usage.     • A toy at best
The listing says, "not just a toy." This is just a toy. I got it for my 7 year old niece to mess with so she doesn't try to play my full sized guitars. I returned it in favor of a ukulele at about the same price point. I must start, though, by assuring that I don't judge the entire brand over this product. I would bet they probably make other good products, perhaps even their ukuleles, although I don't have one. Here's why i want to steer you clear from this particular guitar. Tuning - could not make it hold AT ALL and I gave it a week for strings to stretch, tuners to hold, etc., by retuning at least 2x a day. Not close to holding any tune. Action - unreasonably high. I didn't expect it to be all that good of course, but IF I could get it in tune, not only would it be impossible to play any string in tune on the first fret (forget about an F chord), the action is so high that even the second fret pulls the note sharp bc it stretches so far down to reach the fretboard. While other things about it are very cheap you must understand I have no problem with that! THAT IS PERFECTLY OK FOR A CHEAP PRODUCT to have cheap parts! My problems are in the way this is put together. A cheap ukulele, as I recommend instead, would have cheap parts as well, and I have a few. They all work to make basic music while this guitar does not. If this is your child's first exposure to a guitar (or anything in the lute family), they may never want to play again. Cheap ukuleles tend to be very playable in my experience and would be far better exposure to a young aspiring guitarist, or even anyone looking for an inexpensive new musical venture. ... show more

    • Not good for learning
I ordered this guitar for my granddaughter and unfortunately it doesn't meet learning specs. The turning keys are very cheap and will not allow the guitar to stay in tune. And this is after allowing the strings to stretch a little. The play action is too high for beginners. If you insist on buying this guitar I would suggest you buying some good replacement tuners and some strings. The strings are junk. The sound of the guitar is decent and would sound a lot better with some good quality strings. Its a good toy as is, but with a little help its better but still not good for learning because of the high string action. ... show more
