We live in the country. Satellite Internet access and cell phone service can be spotty. We use an amplified indoor-outdoor cell phone antenna for improved signal. Oftentimes, we try to use our cell phones as hotspots to get online with computer or iPad when satellite services are down. This nice Apphome brand cell phone stand allows us to elevate the cell phone in such a position that the built-in antenna to draw in whatever signal it can manage. This really does help when things aren't working at their best. This green cell phone stand has strong design and construction, and the pivoting joints are tight and well fitted. It easily holds a large cell phone, and even allows us to charge the phone while in use, while sitting on this stand. This APPHOME Phone Stand is thoughtfully designed and well made from appropriate materials. The multiple joints offer infinite adjustments in position. Once properly setup, it stays in place, is stable, and the non-slip base does its job well. I say “properly set up” because the extreme adjustability of this phone stand allows for it to be set up in such a way that it will always fall over under load. That’s on the user… Not the product. I have noticed that some of my phone cases are too wide to fit down into the base clamp opening and consequently sit up on the top of the clamp, instead. This stand didn't disappoint. It was able to hold my iPad Pro steadily. It has the strength to hold the weight of an iPad Pro while fully extended in the air with a just little bit of wobbliness, but definitely can solidly support it while the stand is at its lowest point. With that said, for it to support a cell phone is a no-brainer. The friction joints are solid, smooth, and stiff enough to prevent the weight of a cell phone from forcing it down without an additionally applied force. The sleekness and lightness of the stand makes it appear elegant in design. The aluminum and ABS body gives it a nice professional look for any desktop. I wasn't sure about the green color at first, but it adds a nice unique colorful addition to my workspace. ... show more
