Prior to purchasing I had gone to my local REI and checked out some "high-end" paddles. I couldn't bring myself to spend hundreds as I'm still new to kayaking, but also loved the feel of the light weight carbon paddles. I also was unsure if I wanted a 220, or a 230cm pole. This scratches all those itches....its light, not as light as say a high end Werner, but significantly lighter than the aluminum poled paddle that came with my kayak! The adjustability is nice because I can play around with different lengths to see what works best, but it also introduces some wiggle into the overall feel of the paddle, which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Its probably the nature of the design and unavoidable for an adjustable style, but it means once I decide on an ideal length I will want to upgrade to a set length pole. That being said for the price I am not complaining oo much, just a minor gripe.

This kayak paddle has been a great addition to my gear. It's lightweight and easy to handle, making paddling more enjoyable. The adjustable length is super convenient, and I’ve noticed a big difference in how smoothly it moves through the water. Definitely happy with this purchase!

I love the adjustable shaft as it lets you personalize the length making it comfortable for all ages / sizes of people using the kayaks. The adjustability is nice when changing your seating position in the kayak. These are light weight and easy to use. The built in fish ruler and hook retrieval system are awesome. We use our kayaks mostly for fishing. It also comes with a bungee cord to attach to your wrist so you don't loose it. I like that they come with the drip rings attached already so I did not have to purchase separately. This is the best paddle I have found for our fishing sit on top kayaks,

I have used it side by side with some higher end carbon paddles and there is little diference. I think it is a great value. I use the adjustable legnth to accomdate diffenent kayaks and size paddlers. FYI- I am not an expert kayaker and have only used it lightly to date. I cannot judge its durablility.
