Really impressed with this one! I wanted something adjustable so I wouldnt need multiple dumbbells around and its been really convenient!! I have tried a few similar options, and this one feels the most solid and well made. Changing the weight is super quick and easy, feels sturdy in hand and doesn’t take up much space. I’ve been wanting to build a home gym for a while but could never get past how much space a full dumbbell rack takes up. The Roburflex 40lb adjustable dumbbells solved that completely. One compact dumbbell replaces everything and they also look aesthetically pleasing which motivates me to work out even more. They are easy to setup, and the grip is decent as well. They give me plenty of range for my workouts and the quality feels legit.

I wanted to purchase a 50-lbs. adjustable dumbbell set, but shipment to Hawaii was a problem. The ROBURFLEX 40-lbs. adjustable dumbbell was the closest thing that I could find that was suitable and within budget. For me, this is a 5-star product. It does the job and I have nothing to compare it to. However, for people living in the lower-48, there probably are a lot more options within the same price range. For the majority of Amazon buyers, this may be closer to a 4-star product. Pros: - Easy weight adjustment mechanism: quick, simple, well-labeled. - Adjustable in 5 lbs. increments, starting at 5 lbs. - Compact profile. Whereas cheaper dumbbells use a fixed length system of weight adjustment, ROBURFLEX minimizes its footprint by adding length only whenever the dialed-in weights are increased. - Hand grip. Perfectly sized for a wide range of hand sizes, not too small and not too large. Knurling is well-executed. The barbell feels good in hand. - Cost. $300 for a set of 40 lbs. adjustable dumbbells was the cheapest option available for me. The next closest competitor cost $500 to purchase and ship to Hawaii. Cons: - 40 lbs. capacity. - Fit and feel. Manufacturing tolerances are "good enough", not great. While it doesn't feel nor look cheaply made, it does have a lot of rattle and loose play whenever lifting up from or returning the barbell back to its cradle. I cannot just grab the barbell or casually return the barbell from its carrier, I need to pay attention to how I’m positioning it. - Durability. There are a lot of negative reviews regarding durability. Knowing this, I am careful not to bang around nor drop the barbells. I am also careful whenever dialing in weights to ensure that I am not forcing it to do anything unnatural. * * * * * Notes regarding my dumbbell stand for the ROBURFLEX dumbbells: I used a pair of the following computer stands because of their all-metal construction and 80+ pound weight capacity: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FH9VHJCP I liked the fact that I could independently arrange each stand to suit my workout space. Also, I could adjust the height to fit my needs. I liked the storage provided by the second shelf plus side hooks. Heavy duty casters make rolling it easy, even on shag carpet. Lastly, there's an option for getting one with power outlets which simplifies the use of electronic devices. To hold down the dumbbell carrier to the base board, I used 30mm pipe straps. Since the pipes at the bottom of the carrier are 1-1/4" diameter, 32mm pipe straps would have been a better fit. However, 30mm were the closest size available to me and I installed them using a couple of thin washers to make up the difference. (If I wasn't so detail-oriented, I could have skipped the washers ... the 30mm pipe straps fit close enough to do the job by themselves.) The base board consists of 1/2" plywood. In turn, they are temporarily fastened to the computer stands with metal clamps. At some point in the future, I may remove the clamps and use metal screws to bolt the plywood down to the stand. (I didn't want to put holes in my computer stands until I was certain of the desired configuration.) The pair of computer stands cost me $82, which was significantly cheaper than other dumbbell rack options.

I just recieved this item today and it's already a 40lb piece of garbage out of the box. I placed the dumbell and cradle on the floor immediately out of the box. My first attempt to pull the dumbbell out of the cradle was successful - it was set to 25 pounds and I pulled out 25 pounds. However. When I tried to return the dumbbell to the cradle, it absolutely would not line up with one side of the remaining weights. I reset all the weights in the cradle by aligning them with the trapezoid shaped guides and then tried again. Once my dumbbell was able to align with thr remaining weight, I tried to size up to 30. However, this time, the weights refuse to leave the cradle and pulling the handle results in ALL the weights and the cradle to go with the dumbell. I have continually attempted to reset the alignment of the weights and the dumbell and continuously the handle gets stuck (can't turn), or weights get stuck, or I can't align the dumbell back in. Furthermore, just to really hughlight whatever the QA process is like for these Dumbells, the indicator on the handle is reversed -> rotating in the + direction decreases the weight and rotating in the - direction increases the weight. There is a lot of promise in these Dumbells, I like the sleek design and the turning mechanism, but if they can't even adjust weights then they're just a waste of money.

These dumbbells are great. Back in 2019-2020, I finally got the motivation to start going to the gym and putting myself into shape. But unfortunately, all the gyms were temporarily closed due to covid. So, I decided to build my own gym at home. Unfortunately, my space is very limited. And these were perfect for my situation. Saves space, adjustable weight, looks cool. As long as you treated them nicely, not dropping it, being sure each plate was aligned before adjusting it, they work wonders. Although after about a year in, one of the handles broke and stopped adjusting. So, I emailed customer service, and quickly I was able to order a replacement handle. Super easy! I received the part, replaced it, and got back to work. Just recently, the other handle stopped working as well. Same thing, emailed customer service, and ordered a replacement part. Even during holidays and weekends they were able to reply quickly. I’ve been nothing but satisfied with this product and this company. If you're debating whether or not to order this, you should do it. Other companies sell one dumbell for at least $800. For the amount it costs, this is more than perfect.

A friend of mine has these and has had good luck. However ever since buying them, the handles have been misaligned so the numbers on the handle set do not correctly state the weight. On one, the adjustable "wings" that snap out to hold the small weights in place do not work properly, so they small weights remain loose and are not safe to use, because they can fall off. I contacted Amazon customer service multiple times with little resolution. Therefore, I went to Roburflex direct. They immediately started the process of diagnosing the issue and replaced both handles very quickly. It has only been a few weeks since we received those, but all is good for right now. Their customer service was great once they knew about the issue. Not sure where the disconnect is between Amazon and Roburflex, but Roburflex was easy to deal with directly.

I’ve been using the Roburflex adjustable dumbbells for a few years now, and they’ve honestly exceeded my expectations. I was looking for something that would save space without sacrificing quality, and these have been exactly that. The best feature is at each weight variation the end is flat like a normal dumbbell making it easy to rest on the knee or on floor between sets. The weight adjustment is fast and smooth, so I don’t waste time changing plates between exercises. They feel sturdy in my hands, and I’ve never worried about the weights shifting or coming loose during a workout. The grip is comfortable, even during longer training sessions. What I appreciate most is how much room they’ve saved in my home gym. Instead of having multiple pairs of dumbbells scattered around, I have one set that covers everything I need. They’ve made it much easier to do drop sets and full body workouts with the ability to independently set each dumbbell to different weights. If you’re thinking about investing in adjustable dumbbells, I’d definitely recommend giving Roburflex a look. They’ve been a great addition to my home gym, and I feel like they’ve been well worth the money.

I purchased the set of two and these adjustable dumbbells have been great over the last year I have had them. So much more sturdy and easy to use, with only the handle to change the weight as compared to the Bowflex set that needed to change two dials to adjust the weight. I'm a personal trainer so I'm talking with some experience and when I'm doing drop sets or other sets that require a fast adjustment to the weight these are fantastic. I have these in my home gym and my Daughter, Wife and Son are all able to use them without any issue. Just needed to get used to making sure to line them up before making the weight adjustment. Their customer service has been great as well. I did have some questions and they replied very fast. Completely worth the cost.
