I bought this to install a mini split A/C unit, to insure the proper torque on the brass fittings. It works great. The alarm could be a bit louder, but it is easy to read so I use the visual method. This is good for home use only, it gets 5 stars becuase it was easy to use and well built. The power button is finicky but not an issue. Also in broght sunlight its hard to read the display. But it was still doable. I bought this for an AC line set install.

I like the compact size of this torque wrench. Very easy to use in more tighter areas where you need to torque it down to specific value. The Units are pretty standard and this will go from 1 to 44.25 ft lbs. Also shows in ft/in, kg/m, and n/m. Comes with a crescent head and a 3/8" socket head. A lot easier than to attach a claw wrench head to a wrench that only has a 3/8" socket. The display is nice bright and large which makes it easy to see. There are only several buttons, up/down arrow, memory, units, and ok/clear. Pretty self explanatory once you know the sequence of how things are inputed like setting the torque value or units. I like that this unit has both colord lights where it will go to green - getting there, yellow- almost there, and red- just right or bit over. Plus it has buzzer tones associated with the lights that you can hear when you're getting to your torque value as you turn the wrench. To make it nicer, it gives a vibration in the handle too when you get to the torque value. The only downside i have is that the on/off button can turn on if something that has a weight hits the button. I would like to have something where you have to lets say click it twice in succession to prevent the unit from turning on accidently. This take 3 AAA batteries that you put into a cartridge which then slides inside after removing the end cap of the handle. I would suggest removing this cardtridge while not in use to prevent battery drain. ... show more

This tool is easy to use and very versatile with the two separate heads. It is well made and will last for a long time. I like the digital readout and the sound effects when you are reaching your setting. I used it to torque my ac fittings and it did it’s job well.

in the hvac biz and nowadays there are these little scores on tools this is one i have had a couple name brands and technology today on torque wrenchs is really good so that being said i shopped paid off big time very nice im impressed very accurate well built yes get this one trust its nice put it next to a hilmor or navac i would still take this one price build accuracy plus throw in the rachet and thats nice to its a no brainer as good if not better quality than the two i mentioned over hundred cheaper you will not be disipointed ps its not the smaller its the next up 137 dollar one or something like that grab one!!! i use it all the time paid for itself ive had the hillmore and a buddy has the navac nah get this one you will be satified with your results and shopping with this one ... show more
