  • My new favorite shoe
Size: 12 Color: Silver Green/Black/Crystal Jade
On the first wear it felt tight. As I walked they loosened up and they feel great. My new fav. I personally love the style and they are a perfect all around shoe for me. I walk and these are excellent.

  • Solid platform
Size: 12 Color: Focus Olive/Black/Grey
Soon as i got them i went out & proceeded to try & beat the brakes off of them but they performed wonderfully. Trail, boulder, rockface & that day 15ish vert holds up & 5 down. Stopped counting after field test. Super grippy, nice ride height, purpose built. Yes theyre a little heavy, theyre hiking shoes not trailrunners. Buy those or get stronger & wear these, especially if youre real active, theyll help out. Not sure if anyones done any "hiking" in a pair of rockies or the like, making these very light by comparison. Stylish even, mine are trail colored, i like that. Comfortable, full ankle support. Not a hi top but not a lowtop exactly & the shoe extends past my heel further than usual thats good too ... show more

  • Fit as expected — love the look of these
Size: 10 Color: Wonder Steel/Grey/Impact Orange
Adidas are the only brand I buy online because I know I won't have any fit problems. I wear a normal Size 10 and these fit as expected. They look cool and they are comfortable. Great traction and no issues so far. I will update this review should I have any issues when I put miles on these. Update 1: This is my second pair of Adidas Terrex shoes. My other pair are Terrex Skychaser LT GTXs. These AX4 are a little bit different. The toe box is a little bit more narrow. Not a problem for me, but keep this in mind if you have wide feet. Also, the sole and heel of the AX4 is much more firm. These are not squishy when you walk or run, but the sole is very supportive. ... show more

  • Size and Comfort
Size: 15 Color: Core Black/Carbon/Grey
I have always had great experience with Adidas but these shoes hasn't lived up to my Adidas expectations. I normally wear US-14 but in Adidas I wear US-15. I started wearing them July 01/24, they were a bit to big in length and felt like they have no cushion in them at all. On July 03-24 my back was hurting so bad I could barely walk. I put these on the rack and ordered a different brand with no back problems up until today July 18/24. Today July 18/24 it was dark in the room and people were sleeping so I grabbed my shoes out them on tiptoed out the door at 6am. Notices I put on the Adidas half way to work. It's now 9:49 on July 18/24 only 3 hours and my back is killing me. If you have any back issues do not buy these shoes. Again these shoes have what feelings like cardboard insoles absolutely 0 cushion. I work outside and got these dirty and can't return them. ... show more

  • Great shoes.
Size: 8.5 Color: Wonder Steel/Grey/Impact Orange
I currently have four different pairs of Terrex shoes. Reliably true to size, and comfortable. Grippy rubber, so they’re great for hiking. Not really made for concrete or pavement, I wore a pair of gore tex shoes through the rubber and into the foam delivering FedEx. They were still grippy though.

  • (Get Gore-Tex Warning) Adidas Terrex AX4
Size: 13 Color: Focus Olive/Black/Grey
I bought the olive Terrex AX4 hiking shoes without Gore-Tex fabric online accidentally while not paying complete attention. I love my black Terrex AX3 shoes with Gore-Tex and I thought something in a different color would be good. The AX3’s with G-T are a little better hiking shoe than the AX4 generation. The 3’s have better rubber outer toe support/protection and are a little more supportive shoe with better tread. The tread on the 3’s is also more knobby, but it doesn’t wear down as fast and has great traction on slippery surfaces. With the Gore-Tex fabric it’s also more durable in areas the shoe breaths. The AX4 without G-T looks like it has lower quality construction on some parts to me. The tread on the bottom is good, it’s the same harder Continental rubber from the AX3 generation. The lugs on the shoe are flatter though and I think they’ll wear down quicker making some surfaces slippery. On the AX4 they have more fabric on the toe and less rubber which I think will lead to more stubbed toes and shoe scuffing/damage. Additionally without G-T the meshy fabric on the shoe where it breaths looks cheap and I think it will snag and damage easily if you’re somewhat hard on shoes or use them in the woods. The mesh reminds me of a lower quality mesh fabric on Nike or Adidas walking/running shoes you see at department stores. In some photos online the AX4 has images of white speckles on the bottom rubber/tread area of the shoes. I think the white specks are just poor editing. When looking closely though, I did notice very little speckles of black rubber or rubber dust in the gray rubber on the shoe. If you look closely, the gray has texture on it. I think that comes from the shoe going into a mould or something that makes contact with it to make that texture pattern. I think the black is rubber dust or debris not completely cleaned out of some moulds or whatever makes contact when the gray rubber when it’s textured and formed. I can also see little glue fibers in some spots where the shoe was glued to the tread. They also must wipe the shoe down if it gets over glued or before it gets shipped away. 1 shoe had little fibers on it like a throw away cloth or paper towel had wiped 1 shoe. I’m still going to wear these shoes, but they’re not something I’d wear hiking or in the woods. I’d wear them running errands or hanging out with friends. My suggestion is if you want a great hiking shoe get the AX3 with Gortex. I imagine they’ll be discontinued at some point for the newer models coming. I wear the AX3’s for both work and everyday. They truly hold up to whatever I can put them through. I think the AX4 especially without Gore-Tex needs improvements to be considered a hiking shoe. ... show more

  • My son loves them
Size: 10 Color: Wonder Steel/Grey/Impact Orange
Ok. I have a lazy 16 year old son who would rather wear nothing so he could avoid tying his shoes. Lol. Well he graduated highschool early and went to live at a college dorm about 45 minutes from home. He decided he wants to walk around and bike the trails. Well, someone there convinced him that he needed good shoes. So I showed him these and he said to buy them. When they came, he slipped them on and tied them up (😯)! He said they were really comfortable and fit great 😃. He wears them all the time now. I ordered myself a pair from the women's line. ... show more
