  • Great fit and solid support in a high-performance hiker
Size: 8.5 Color: Grey/Grey/Solar Red
I owned and wore out my original Adidas terrex hikers, and needed an upgrade for a trip to Sedona. The latest Ax4 did NOT disappoint. It is an excellent light hiking shoe. Comfortable with only a day of breaking them in, wearing to the office for work. I put these to the test with five straight day hikes in the rugged trails surrounding Sedona AZ. Averaging 8 miles a day of some pretty rocky and strenuous hiking over rugged terrain and was completely impressed. Pros: - Fit true to size. I'm a nine in every shoe and the nines fit me perfectly. I would recommend ordering your size - Highly supportive fit without hot spots. Not too wide, but ample toe room. Good arch support. Short (one-day) break-in - Goretex - didn't test this in AZ, but suspect this would fend of puddles and wet spots - Grippy as hell. The collaboration with Continental continues and continues to pay off. We did a lot of off-camber hiking and step descents on slick rock, and I never had a problem - In a world of garish sneakers on one side, and horrid looking hikers on the other (keens, merrills) these actually look cool and normal. No cons to report. One thing to note - I did try the non-goretex version before settling on these. I would highly recommend upgrading to this goretex version. The fit was better (the non-goretex version was too wide) and the mesh appeared sturdier. ... show more

  • Comfortable boot
Size: 15 Color: Focus Olive/Core Black/Grey
Boot is comfortable and well made. I can work a 12 hour shift and on my feet running around and my feet aren’t tired or in pain at the end of the day. Great traction on ice and warm in the snow as well. They look really cool. I’d say for the price ? You will not be disappointed.

  • Comfortable walking shoe.
Size: 10 Color: Black/Carbon/Grey
This is a very good fitting and comfortable walking shoe. True to size and give great foot support . My only wish is that the soles would last longer. I walk enough to wear through the sole in about 5 months. The uppers still look and feel new so a longer lasting sole would have upped the rating to five stars. ... show more

  • Dry and warm
Size: 11 Color: Grey/Grey/Solar Red
They seem pretty rugged. Not too heavy but warm and dry with good support. No issues walking in the snow. For a low top they are fairly good in the winter.

  • There are better option out there
Size: 9 Color: Black/Carbon/Grey
The shoes look great and are fairly comfortable for everyday wear. The design is stylish, and they go well with different outfits. However, the sizing runs a bit small, and the cushioning isn't as supportive as I expected. They're fine for short walks, but I wouldn’t recommend them for all-day wear. Decent for the price, but not the most comfortable option out there. ... show more

  • A Solid Choice for Wet Weather Commute
Size: 12 Color: Black/Carbon/Grey
I recently put the Adidas Terrex Ax4 Gore-Tex Hiking Sneaker to the test during a rainy week of hiking. Impressively, the Gore-Tex kept my feet dry and comfortable The sneaker itself feels well-constructed and supportive. The fit is true to size, and the cushioning provides comfort. The outsole offers decent traction on various terrains. Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance, It's a reliable. ... show more

  • Looks great, ball too tight and not wide enough
Shoe looks great and is made of quality materials, but despite being the right size the shoe is too tight at the ball of the foot. Toe box has ample space so toes aren't squashed, but the end of my 5th lesser metatarsal (pinkie toe) ends up red and irritated from how tight the shoe is at its widest part. Funny thing is its just on my right foot, left foot fits fine. I'm using a shoe stretcher to see if I can stretch the fabric and going on long walks with the dog to try to break them in prior to the travel I purchased these shoes specifically for. Should have entertained buying waterproof sneakers from Columbia or North Face even though they are less fashionable. I'm at an age where comfort over "coolness" matters. too late to return them as I've thrown away the box and have used them, but lesson learned. Edit: these she’s are unwearable. Trying to return for a partial refund as they destroy my feet ... show more
