  • Good little amp, worst packaging ever.
Mine arrived in a minimally padded brown paper Amazon envelope with no box or the phoenix terminals to connect the speakers. Fortunately I had some from other home distribution amps so I could test it out for damage right away. Seems ok at the moment. I'll be using the extra RCAs for output to yet another amp and they're all connected to a AppleTV and go into a WIFI speaker selector switch so I can control each 4 zones individually and volume control via whatever app I'm using on the phone. Great for this kind of background music job but certainly not for critical listening. Previous reviewer estimating 20-22 watts of power into 8ohm is correct but who knows what the voltage gain is. ... show more

  • Great little unit
I'd actually only give it 4.5 Stars, as there is a little bit of false advertising, but like most dating profiles, there was some exaggeration of its positive features. it says its a 50W x 4 channel system. This would mean its a 200W Amp. This is a relatively meaningless Peak value. A more Real World usable number is its RMS rating. The Power supply is 24 V at 4.5 Amps, providing a Total power capability of only 108 Watts, so that is really all you can get. And the lights, Bluetooth receiver, and other circuitry will take some of that too. This little amp is [ probably ] only putting out about 22 to 24 Watts per channel RMS. Fully acceptable numbers. No need to indulge here. I have this hooked up to 4 speakers, each rated at 8 Ohm, in an Outdoor environment, using 14 Gauge multi-strand copper speaker cable, and it plays plenty loud. I have a SPL meter, but haven't been bothered to check it, as the unit plays more than loud enough for normal back yards. It Won't get you concert level volumes, but can be loud enough to irritate your neighbors, even if they are still in their house. I've had it up to full volume with no distortion. I didn't have any 4 ohm or 2 ohm speakers available to try, but I would expect 2 Ohm speakers at full volume to play louder, but with distortion at its limits. There is no Fan, and it looks reasonably sealed to keep dust out. It doesn't look weather proof, but it doesn't claim to be. I currently have it installed Indoors, but do plan on moving it outside, under a covered deck. It wont get rained on directly, but there will be some high humidity exposure. This will probably void the warranty I was surprised by its small form factor. it really is tiny. I actually like the removal Speaker cable mount. its a little awkward, but I found it easier to connect the speaker cables with the mount off the unit, and then press it on once all cables were locked down. The screws come all tightened, and you need to Loosen them before inserting the speaker cable. Bluetooth range is fair. I have another similar Bluetooth receiver puck that puts out Line level and TOS-Link Fiber connections, which has a little better range, but this little unit reaches almost as far. This is a sealed metal unit, made with the finest chinesium steel available, and it appears the antenna is Inside. It might have been better to have an External antenna to get an extra 10+ feet of range, but it still reaches to about 30 feet in my setup, which does have an exterior wall it its path, with 2x6 stud, insulation, sheet rock wall, and hardy board like siding. I haven't purchased a second one yet, but I am tempted to get a second, and Daisy chain them so I can have a the same music playing on some indoor speakers at the same time. There are RCA style Input and Outputs on the back, which the documentation shows to be there for exactly this purpose. Having Individual volume controls is a Plus and a Minus. There is no Master volume. but you can use your source device ( aka iPhone ) to adjust that. but you Do get the ability to raise or lower speakers individually, so you can Boost a far away speaker, or lower nearby speakers, to get a better overall level etc. The volume control knobs are anodized aluminum ( or aluminium if your in Europe / Canada ) I would buy again, and probably will. ... show more

  • The sound is great. Hooking up the speakers is the worst experience
The connector requires cutting speaker cable to an exposed length of 3mm to avoid shorting. Then it is required to screw in the cables to a very small connector. The labeling for the positive and negative terminals is unclear. (it is silk screened on behind the connector which is blocked by the plastic from most angles.) ... show more

  • Decent Amplifier- solved audio situation for me
This is a good amplifier, is helping utilize two sets of ceiling speakers and one set outside. Output enough for volume to be at 50% and enjoy plenty of sound. Range for Bluetooth about 25-30 feet before losing signal which while not ideal is manageable

  • Keeps cutting out after a couple minutes of use
I received this product a while ago for a project and kept it laying around in the box due to project delays. I finally got around to using it, and it turns on for about 5 minutes and then shuts off. At first I thought it was being over powered, turned all channels down low and it still cuts out. I moved the cable to it own receptacle and it still cuts out after 5 minutes, super disappointing. I realize I am well out of the return window, but I emailed the company for support and to see if maybe it was a defective unit.... They have not gotten back to me. When it works, it seems to work well. I see other people have had luck, I guess that's why I'm so bummed. Just be cautious about what you're buying and know that it could have problems out the box. Maybe the company will reach out to me and replace the unit so I can re-review and give a higher rating. ... show more

  • Great for the price
I bought this for two specific reasons: I wanted a very small bluetooth amp to fit on a shelf in the kitchen and I needed four channels to control speakers in the kitchen and dining room. This is the little amp that could! Some reviews state the bluetooth range is limited. I stayed connected with my phone in my pocket going to the furthest reaches of my house and also out into the garage, so I found the range to be perfect. My only gripe is the speaker wire connection feels weak and cheap. But as long as I don't need to regularly disconnect the speaker wire it should not pose a problem. ... show more

  • Solid little bluetooth receiver
This has been a fantastic product so far for me. Initially got it as I needed a small receiver to fit in an awkward space where speaker wires were located (for reference, smaller than a standard 8.5 x 11 paper). Bluetooth was easy to establish on my phone....the only negative so far has been that I had to forget and re-pair the device once over the course of 2 months with daily use. Another slight negative, when using a google nest device to play music through the speaker it is often poor-performing (slight skipping/crackling), but this doesn't exist when using a phone. Overall, gets the job done and would purchase again (and will purchase again if and when this one dies due to the low cost for what you get). ... show more

  • Great unit for supporting two sets of speakers using same signal
I just installed this, so it's early. I have two sets of speakers in the same room that require a different volume setting in order to be properly balanced. This unit does a great job sending the same sound source to two different speakers. My sound source is a Mac using BT, so master volume is controlled on my Mac. The documentation is a little lacking - I have included a diagram of how the volume controls are mapped to stereo signals - I may have missed it, but I could not find it in the documentation. Overall I really like it so far. ... show more

  • Great power and versatile
Great volume, easily connected, and compact. Don’t like the fact it doesn’t have a low bass channel.

  • Perfect for in-wall speakers, Workaround for poor BT range
I moved into a house and found 4 in-wall speakers with functionality in question. I bought this little thing over nicer AV/receivers because I really just wanted some music playing ability (did not intend to make it a home theater system as I already have one). This little amp was perfect for that role! Quickly found all 4 speakers working well, with adequate volume (didn't have to dial it up past 50%). The BT connected fast, well and as long as you were within about 10 meters, smooth. The BT range was definitely a bit lacking, but I found a work around. I used a nest hub to connect to the amp instead. Then I was able to control spotify on my phone which controlled the music on the nest hub which allowed me to control volume and playlist from anywhere within wifi range! ... show more

  • Bluetooth issues - quit after 4 months.
If you are buying this for Bluetooth I'd recommend you keep looking. The bluetooth on mine quit after 4 months. Very poor tech support from the vendor. I'm a software engineer, just appears the firmware is not quite done or some low quality parts.... The regular amplifier works fine.

  • Would be great if documented correctly
I have a four speaker system that I’m trying to find an inexpensive amp for. This says it’s four channel and technically, that’s correct. However to get all four speakers to play from the same source, you have split the signal to connect to both sets of rca jacks on the back. This isn’t documented but I did find the manufacturer responded to a question stating this to be the case. Of course I only found this after hooking everything up and scratching my head as to why I wasn’t getting anything from all four. Volume is good, I like the ease of the connectors for the speakers but I have to buy a $25 splitter to get sound from all four channels…pass, this will be returned. ... show more
