I'm somewhat hard of hearing and since I made the switch to in home pediatric nursing, I've been struggling to hear sounds that were never an issue with my other stethoscope. Since we are working solo and have to bring our own supplies, I would spend fifteen minutes trying to accurately do my baseline assessment using the things I used to use on adults but not anymore! Kiddos like the cute little animal heads... keeps their attention while you're listening, they're easy to remove and clean which is nice but more importantly, I can hear every little GI gurgle, breath sound, and heartbeat with 100% clarity now! This is a great stethoscope! I currently use an MDF classic cardiology (best acoustics I have found in a stethoscope) and needed a pediatric stethoscope for my job as a pedi nurse and for clinicals for furthering my nursing degree. I am shocked by the quality of lung sounds with this stethoscope. Very good! Diaphram has to be on skin and make sure your eartips are sealed good. Would I use this in cardiac ICU- yes, as a distraction. However heart sounds are soft to auscultation (after using a cardioscope for so long) so would need a bell and feel more comfortable with reliability of a stethoscope with a bell. I would use this for lung sounds in any setting. As long as you are auscultating correctly (on skin, sealed eartips, avoiding rubbing of tubing and thus artifact noise) this is a quality product! Would buy again and again! Just received it so cant comment on longevity or if tubing is stained by scrubs or cleaning wipes, but the distraction of the diaphram itself is worth the mere $40 spent! Great quality and super adorable. I'm a Pediatric ICU nurse and this works excellent on my little ones. On some of the larger, almost adult sized kiddos though, this doesn't quite do the trick. Overall though, I don't have any issues with sound quality. Material wise, the interchangeable animals is so awesome. I'm in love. It helps with my assessments for some of the fussier ones which is partly why I got it. I'd give it five stars if only I the tubing didn't become almost sticky in texture from sanitizing it with the alcohol pads and the sanitizing wipes we have at work. It tends to pull a but in loose hairs when around my neck and the color from my scrubs has worn into the material. No amount of cleaning thus far had removed it. If you know how to remove the stains please let me know in a comment on this review. Overall this is a really great stethoscope I highly recommend for pedi nurses out there. ... show more

Gets so many compliments and the kids love it. I'm usually wary of buying stethoscopes on Amazon but it works just as well as any other stethoscope. I've had it for a few years and it's still holding up.

I work at a pediatric ER, and this stethoscope is the best thing ever. I can hear everything I need to, true to the ADC standard (which rivals Littman by common opinion). The interchangeable faces not only make it fun, but apprehensive/fussy kiddos will actually let me listen when I show them the animal face and tell them Mr Tiger (or whoever) wants to hear your chest. They almost always like stop in their tracks and let it happen! The only design I’d change is the ear pieces are fixed so when the animal face is visible while wearing it, the ear pieces are also faced out which means they hang on EVERYTHING. I always bought littman for the “brand” but after having so many go missing I thought I’d try something else. Tried a few others that were horrible. A doctor in the PICU recommended this, bought it and I LOVE IT! The kids love it and the quality is AMAZING!! Definitely recommend!!
