I first bought this sound machine for my college daughter to use in her dorm. She’s a night owl and her roomate was an early riser, so this really helped the two of them not disturb each other. I tried it out before giving it to her and loved it! I immediately bought another one for myself. That was in October of 2020! I’ve used it nightly since then and almost 3 years later it’s still going strong. My husband snores, my teens have loud friends over and I sleep soundly through it all with this on! I also always travel with it, which is so easy since it’s small and portable with a removable cord. I really can’t recommend this thing strongly enough. It’s truly money well spent! It’s easy to use with lots of different sounds and tons of versatility with the volume. I truly love it! And my college daughter who’s now a senior still loves hers too! :) PS… I first saw this at a therapist’s office. They each had one going outside their door so the conversations they were having with clients couldn’t be heard. I sat outside the offices for an hour waiting on a friend and never heard a single word!!

I have a dog that is very sensitive to storms and fireworks. For the last seven years I have hungout in our laundry room, the most central room of our house, and done laundry or played the radio to drown out the goings on outside. With the fourth of July approaching this year I decided to make myself as comfortable as possible, so I bought a nice folding lounge chair and this white noise maker. I've tried bringing the dog to bed and cuddling with Alexa turned to sleep music, but it simply didn't work. Not sure how this device will work with an earth shaking thunderstorm (Oh, how I wish we could get some rain!!!), but we made it through the fourth this year with no problems. I've not even considered any of the optional noises this makes, but the nice White Noise that sounds like a loud hiss works great on hiding all the war noises associated with the illegal fireworks in town, where I live. Its much easier to sleep to than music and does a great job hiding even the huge finale of the approved firework shows thoughout town. I highly recommend this device. If it doesn't work for you...Amazon will take it back.

We love this "sound machine." It's big enough to give a deep sound and unlike many other solutions we have tried, we detect no "loop" in the sound. We like brown noise the best. We also bring it when we (often) travel. It's light and durable enough.

I've been using this device every night for three years and it's great for sleeping -- nice smooth white noise, easy to adjust the volume. I do think, however, that the reviews and answers that say it will work in Europe are misleading. It runs on 110 volts, which suits it for the U.S. and Canada. Europe runs on 220 volts. A plug adapter doesn't help -- it simply lets you plug your device into the outlet. To make a 110-volt appliance run on 220 volts, you would need a voltage converter, which is fairly big and heavy and not the sort of thing most tourists want to carry in their suitcase.

I had to get rid of a floor fan I used that helped me sleep. This does have fan sounds but they are not really as good as the real thing. It is very sturdy and the fan noise I use does help me sleep. However, outside noise does get through. I wish they included more realistic fan noises and maybe used more base to block out noise. All in all it's a very well made product. I'm happy with my purchase.

We live on a busy street so we have 2, one in each front bedroom. They run most of the time day and night.
