I love Apple products, but let's face it, they're expensive. I have a 2019 27" iMac and it only comes with 8gb of RAM, which is close to nothing. Why it's still sold with only 8GB is beyond me. If you want to configure your iMac to have 64GB of RAM on Apple's website, it will run you an extra $1,000. Yes, that's not a typo, I didn't add an extra zero by mistake. A full extra thousand dollars. That's completely absurd. Well luckily, Adamanta provides 64GB at less than $300. Not only was it $700 cheaper, but it works perfectly, and I have yet to have a single issue. Installation was extremely easy as you would expect. Just open the hatch in the back, and replace the RAM inside with these. Would definitely recommend this RAM kit. You'll save A LOT of money.

While this model number is listed in the description as compatible, it is, in fact, NOT. Installed this into a brand new out of the box iMac and would not boot. And no it was not inserted the wrong way (that is actually impossible to do). When returning the factory installed RAM into the computer, it booted fine. So either it simply doesn't work, or this set was DOA. Which it should not have been, since it states in the listing that all chips are tested. So...be careful with ordering this as it might not be what you actually need!

This package of 128GB of RAM has been installed in my 2019 27-inch iMac for two weeks, and I have not had any issues with it. It was easy to install myself, and much less expensive than having Apple pre-install their RAM, which maxes out at 64GB I believe. If I encounter any problems with it, I plan to update this post with details.

Once I installed this memory I had nothing but problems. My iMac with the new 64 GB ran SLOWER than with the 8 GB of memory that came with the Mac. Then the problems started. The mac would not fully boot, or it would not shut down. Anything that was memory intensive would freeze up. I installed the original memory and the problem went away. I find it interesting that this product is "no longer available." Returned for refund. If I could give this product zero stars I would.

Cheapest 64 GB RAM I could find for my 2020 iMac. Had it for a couple of months now, doesn’t seem to have any problems so far. Runs Adobe CC much faster now. Please note this won’t work in the 21” iMacs, only the 27s have that little panel in the back.

Just a tip for anyone installing this memory in a fresh, out-of-the-box iMac: set up the Mac first, THEN install the memory! I tried installing the memory first and my new 27” iMac refused to boot. But putting the original memory back in, setting the Mac up, then powering down and installing the new memory worked. I’ve never had this issue with PCs, just Macs. But everything turned out OK.
