Frequently asked questions

The Ad Tec Logger Boots are constructed from Crazy Horse Leather, which is known for its durability and ability to age beautifully over time, giving the boots a unique, rugged appearance.

Yes, these boots feature a plain soft toe design. While they provide a level of protection, they do not have a safety toe cap like steel or composite toe boots. They're designed for comfort and flexibility where heavy-duty toe protection is not a primary concern.

Absolutely, Ad Tec Logger Boots are equipped with a shock-absorbing, non-slip rubber lug sole. This design enhances grip and stability on slippery surfaces, making them ideal for a variety of work environments.

To maintain the quality and extend the life of your Crazy Horse Leather boots, regularly clean them with a soft brush or cloth to remove dirt and debris. Apply a leather conditioner periodically to keep the leather supple. Avoid drying them near direct heat sources, as this can cause the leather to crack.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The boots reviewed appear to offer a mix of affordability, comfort, and durability, with many users expressing satisfaction after using them for work, riding motorcycles, and as everyday footwear. Despite the positive feedback on comfort and price value, some concerns about the durability and construction quality, such as issues with the eyelets and waterproofing, were mentioned. Overall, these boots seem to cater well to those in need of sturdy and comfortable footwear without breaking the bank.

Pros

  • 👍 Very comfortable, even with minimal break-in time needed
  • 👌 Affordable price point for the quality offered
  • 💪 Durable for various activities, including arborist work and motorcycle riding
  • 🔨 Good fit and support, with some reviews suggesting suitability for long hours of wear

Cons

  • ❗Some durability issues mentioned, notably with the sole stitching and eyelets falling out
  • 🚫 Not completely water-resistant as claimed, may need additional treatment
  • 👣 Insoles might be too thin, requiring the purchase of aftermarket insoles for extra comfort

Should I Buy It?

Yes, if you're looking for an affordable, comfortable boot that's suitable for active work or casual wear, these boots are a good choice. However, keep in mind that you might need to invest in better insoles and possibly treat them for better water resistance. If longevity and water resistance are top priorities for you, you might want to consider other options.

  • Affordable, comfortable & durable logger boots for beginner/seasoned tree climbers.
Size: 10.5 Color: Black
The boot is awesome. I thought I was buying an off brand boot just to get by with not a lot of money to spend. But come to find it the boot is very comfortable. I wore the boots in my house for two days here and there “break them In” but it really wasn’t necessary. My feet weren’t destroyed and blistered after a long 8 hour shift. I’m an arborist climb trees for a livingI climb trees, so I am very active when it comes to wear and tear on boots. They are comfortable, durable, lightweight with great stitching & the heel is perfect height. Overall great boots. The only concern I have with this boot is that the sole stitching stops mid point on the boot. Which worries me about sticking the heel in tree crotches on a daily basis. I’m hoping the heel doesn’t flip off right away. I normally wear Carolinas and I still give these boots a 5/5. ... show more

  • Very good boots for the price
Size: 7 Color: Black
The leather used on this boots is very similar to the one used in the Durango harness/biker boots... Very good quality, they are super comfortable even after standing on you're feet all day at work and the none steel toe version is a plus on the boots being comfortable. NEGATIVES :These boots are definitely not meant to be used with shovels at all, the arch part of the boot will bent inwards pressing against you're arch and you have to push that dent back down by hand. I bought the none water resistant ones if water splashes by the toung area of the boots water will get inside... I don't know if the water resistant ones are different in that area, the leather of the boots definitely provides some water resistance. This pictures are after 2 months of using this boots at work from 8 to 10 hours Monday through Friday. EDIT: the new pair of boots I order do feel the same as the pair i bought 18 months ago, the only thing I don't like very much from the new pair is that the heels are not black like the old ones... Look at pictures. ... show more

  • Good boot for the money
Size: 9 Wide Color: Brown
All in all good boot, bought about a year ago and they are holding up good , I got a 9 wide soft toe and they fit well , I will say that the sole insert is about as thick as a piece of paper so I recomend getting a good pair of work boot inserts (dr scholls or better), the heal isn’t leather like it looks it’s a hard plastic or composite material Once I put them in they were comfortable all day , they say water resistant but I would also treat them with some sort of water proofed or dubbing grease as out of the box if u stand in a puddle the insides do get damp , but agian great boot for the money I would buy agian ... show more

  • Great every day boot
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
Some of the best boots I've ever owned! I'm always nervous buying wearables online, but I was in desperate need of a pair of boots a while back and ordered these. They are well constructed and sturdy. I've worn them 5 days a week for the last three years and only now are they starting to show signs of wear on the sole, and that's mostly because I have an awkward gait that eats away at the edges of my heels. the leather is high quality, and the stitching is still solid. There isnt much in the way of arch support, and they CAN make your feet a little sore after a long day, but a good set of gel insoles fixed that problem for me I have paid much more for much lower quality boots. These are worth every penny and more. ... show more

  • Barely stiffer than a slipper
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Waterproof Brown
The shank and sole have no stiffness whatsoever, I can bend or twist them right over with my bare hands. This complete lack of foot support translates to a tremendous amount of stress and muscle effort for the feet on uneven terrain. I'm only 80kg (176lb) and my feet were absolutely exhausted after a few hours of planting work. I can't imagine doing a full day of work or carrying a backpack. In summary: Junk. ... show more

  • Great looking boot...but had to return.
Size: 9.5 Color: Brown
First of all, boots are really nice looking...leather is great ,color is great, insole is thin and stiff (but easy fix with a $3 pair of foam dr.scholls) build quality looks great especially for $57.00.Boots are a little on the heavy side for my taste coming in at over 2 lbs.per boot,(but they are loggers) As far as sizing they are run a 1/2 size small. I purchased a beat up pair of these on ebay in my usual size 9 but they were a little small so went with a 9 1/2 M and they were perfect even had room for the foam insert so 1/2 size up is perfect. The problem I had with these boots was the rivet down at the bottom of the laces (just above the ad tec tag)was digging in to my foot, out of all the reviews (hundreds, including these, the steel toe,and the woman’s version) I couldn’t find a review with this issue so maybe it was just a defect, and also I don’t recall the rivet being a problem on my old beat up pair although couldn’t wear them due to being too small.adding the much needed foam insert raised my foot slightly and made it dig even more into my foot. Overall a great looking boot but the rivet issue was a deal breaker for me...had to return them for a refund. ... show more

  • all good boots and not cheap
Size: 9.5 Color: Brown
Was a time when you wouldn't find me in anything but Timberlands. Loss of warranty and quality and outrageous prices changed that. I've worn Wolverine, Carolina, Georgia, Redwing and a few others, all good boots and not cheap. I decided to try these AdTec boots and was not expecting much as this was my first exposure to the brand and their prices seemed ridiculously low. I've had these about a month and I'm thrilled with them. I like the Loggers without the steel toe, the padded tongue is a plus, there's plenty of sole and though they will soften up over time, there really isn't any "breaking in" I've actually had people compliment me on the color though I'd like to have the other brown. All of this and well under half the price of Carolina's. What's not to like. Using Amazon, the savings were 30% over the original dealer and shipping was free with Prime. Are you catching on yet?? Get a pair or two before the company finds out that they have a great boot. ... show more
