This product is nearly perfect and I hope you will get one or more sets as well! This green model is very bright, eye-catching, and a lot of fun to experience when the sun is down. At the time that I received this product I also had ordered the version that cycles through multiple colors. Both are excellent products and you will have to decide which is the right one for you. The big difference is that the singular color lights had two modes: On/Off -- or blinking. I find myself appreciating the blinking mode a lot more often than I had anticipated and was disappointed that the color-switching one (while beautiful to behold) is only On or Off. You can read my review over on that model. As a (pre-pandemic) daily bicycle commuter, I found the side-illumination these afforded my tires to be invaluable for peace of mind. My rear-facing tail light and 1000 lumen headlight have long been staples BUT bicycling through an intersection always caused me to wonder whether the cross-traffic would notice me. Drivers are rarely on the lookout for cyclists where I live. I feel like these wheel lights changed my visibility to cross-traffic in a big way and I was very pleased to have them on anytime I was out pre-dawn or post-dusk. I even appreciated using them in flashing mode under the presumption that they may just give a little more visibility during the morning or evening commute when the sun was still up. The installation process isn't ideal and I found it a little more difficult and worrisome than I had pictured. I found the tiny bulbs (like regularly-spaced dew on grass) to get in the way of twisting around my spokes and did not always feel like the wrapping was going well. It left me worried that I had or would damage them during the installation process. However, the material turned out to be remarkably durable and I was grateful that my 700C wheel fit the product perfectly for one trip around the outer rim. If I had a smaller wheel (or wanted to install on a kids bike) I imagine the number of trips around would feel tedious and a bummer that there aren't shorter versions available. Or maybe it looks extra cool to have layering of the bulbs. The battery life on these are fair. In the cold weather they obviously take a hit but in general it seems like it would be 3 months of daily use in warm weather and 2 months in the winter. The usage period is likely longer but I have not kept very good track of battery life to report properly. Regarding maintenance, if you get your bicycle tuned up, these little lights will likely have to be worked around as the bicycle mechanic trues the wheel spokes OR if you hang your bicycle by the wheel, they will likely be an annoyance to you. But there isn't any interaction with the lights (hopefully) when changing a tube. It feels like once they are installed they pretty well stay where you put them. I've had a few times where I wished that the lights were capable of being more cemented in place but in general I haven't messed with their positioning along the spokes. Expect there to be at least a little movement, though, from where you install them. So yeah, I am a huge fan of the bike wheel spoke lights and I can only hope that the innovations will be able to continue and keep this product improving as it matures. Really awesome product to not only make the bike look cooler but in safety in being more visible. Lights are bright and had no issues with any bulbs going out. I got the color changing one. YOU CANNOT PICK THE COLOR; It just rotates a set or 7-8 colors on loop (red then yellow, green blue, pink, purple back to red) But is still really cool and stands out alot. It is not difficult to install, just weave it around the spokes and the battery compartment is attached to the wheel axis (center part of the wheel) It has a cleverly placed screw top to take out the batteries and change them when needed and screw back in place without disturbing the whole setup. It lasts a long time, ive had it several months and not needed to change the batteries yet. (3aaa each) ... show more

We like to ride our bikes after work but we get out late so by the time we hit the road, the sun is setting. These lights were purchased to make us visible from the sides when riding. They look great too! Installation was tedious but not impossible. These are made for wheels up to 29" in size but I didn't want to cut off the excess for my 27" wheels so I just wrapped the excess around the existing wires for added lighting. Battery life has been great. We've had these for over a month now and we ride a few nights per week for a couple of hours and haven't had change them out yet. I even took my bike to a local trail with ramps and jumps and they survived it. These might seem expensive for just lights but they are worth the money. ... show more

I purchased two sets of these bike lights, one for my 9 year old daughter and one for myself. I noticed while riding around the campsite at night prior to my purchase of these lights, she was barely seen riding around with the reflectors and another cheaper brand tire spoke lights. So I purchased these for visibility and her and my safety while riding around the camp grounds after sunset. When I received the order, one of the packages had a defective light set, and I requested they send another, which the quickly did. While installing the light main component on the bike rim, it was a little more difficult then their video suggests, maybe because of the spokes on our bikes where perhaps closer then the one they used, but with a second hand, I was able to secure it as directed. I wrapped the lights around the spokes and was simple and easy. I activated the lights by an easy press button, counter pressure makes it easier without movement of the main mechanism, but the lights are awesome and actually easily identifiable as a moving object, even if you can’t actually see the bike rider you for sure see the lighted tires. These lights dramatically increases the safety of the bike rider. I like how these stay on while the tires are not in motion, unlike some that turn off while there is no spinning tire. For safety reasons, while at night, it only makes sense to remain lit all the time, regardless of tire motion, so great job on that piece of common sense workmanship. I used them at the campgrounds and am super impressed and happy with my purchase. I hope they last long, but as of now I would highly recommend. ... show more
