I attached the ball stud on one side and punch a mating hole to the loose end of the strap so it was secured in place and not flapping around. Worked well on my Dooney and Bourke purse strap as well. So,rarely do I see trash like this! 3/4 of the studs are either striped out or more likely the holes were just drilled to large for the tap to form threads in the first place as the screws fit other studs I bought elsewhere just fine. Be warned: don’t buy!!
