I am really impressed with this little amplifier. I own two other battery powered amps: a small 10 watt Boss Katana (using 6 AA batteries) costing a bit over $100 and a larger 60 watt Fishman Loudbox Mini Charge (with an internal Lithium Ion battery) costing well over $500. The Boss bugged me with its pre-set tone controls and tinny comparative sound. I play solo acoustic melodic ukulele, and wanted a boost of the natural sweet sound of the nylon strings. I didn’t really need the distorted settings on the Boss. The Fishman is a great portable amp that I use for gigs (weddings/dinner music), but just a bit bulky to move around the house for practice or carry on the street. This 30 watt CoolMusic amp has an internal LI battery like the Fishman. Although its sound is appropriately not as full, it still is a great sound that I’d feel very comfortable using as a busking amp. The size and weight is easily moved around, and in fact comes with a great strap that falls away from the controls. That strap is held on with the same buttons you’d see on a guitar, so you can easily use an instrument strap to throw over a shoulder for carrying to a street performance. Although compact, the little amp has substantial weight, probably from the sturdy wood case. The power is substantial. I can barely move the volume button a quarter of the dial without blowing me out of the house or causing some feedback. I’ve not yet tried this outdoors, but suspect it would easily push some higher yet volume. I appreciate the separate bass and treble tone controls, with the addition of both chorus and reverb. These are the basics I wanted. It is missing a gain control that might produce the distortion that some may want (but not me). It is also missing the gimmicky delay control and the mid-range tone control, both not that important to me. At only $117 (current price that I paid), it is an amazing bargain compared to the similarly priced Boss, and especially to the 5 times price of the Fishman. And, like the Fishman, it adds a second mic input for vocals or a second instrument. Plus, it has a ⅛” input to add recorded music from a separate device. This thing is well engineered, especially for acoustic string instruments where you may want a natural amplified sound. But maybe this best thing for me is that I can plug in a headset for private monitoring while I practice. (Sorry, no Bluetooth for wireless). I'm finding that I play much more quiet acoustically when monitoring via headphones. That more relaxed attack on the strings is improving my playing skills. And, my wife has a much lower chance of being bothered by my practice. Win-win. BTW, I've been playing this thing for a few hours and the battery is still on full charge mode. I bet I can easily get 4 or 5 hours of performance from it. Can you tell I'm happy with my purchase?

This is a great amp that is small, lightweight, powerful, and sounds warm. I am a professional musician and currently am playing for the Gondola attraction at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. We use battery powered amps and I was looking for a small, portable, good sounding amp. This one fits the bill perfectly! Features: Small, compact, portable, weighs less than 8 lbs. Two channels, one mic channel and one guitar channel. This is perfect if you sing and accompany yourself at the same time. Can also be used to plug in 2 mics or 2 instruments. The mic channel has XLR/1/4 inch input and controls for volume, bass, treble, and reverb. The guitar channel has a 1/4 inch input and controls for volume, bass, treble, chorus, and reverb. Also, on the top panel, there's blue tooth button for connecting your phone/tablet and a separate dedicated volume control. There's also a 3mm headphone plug. So in the way, this is a 3 channel amp! Lastly, there's a power indicator for the battery status (full, half, low). The back has plugs for headphone (1/4 inch), DI (1/4 inch, for connecting to PA or an external speaker), AUX IN (3mm, for a wired connection of an mp3 player or a phone) and a USB-C plug for charging the amp (using the charger that comes with the amp or a power bank) with an LED indicator. Sound: The amp sounds warm, deep, big, and clean! There's tons of headroom and it doesn't distort. The sound is reminiscent of Roland JC. It has a 6.5 inch woofer and a 1.5 inch twitter speakers. Both reverb and chorus effects sound very nice and natural. Loudness: It is really a 30 watt amp! This is definitely enough for busking and any live situation where there's no external power available. It will work great for solo gigs, as well as duo and trio/quartet. Rechargeable battery: It takes 3-5 hours to fully charge the internal battery. I used the amp at my work and it lasted through my entire 4.5 hour shift. So it is definitely going to be enough to last for an average 2-5 hour gig. Portability: Small and compact, weighing 7.7 lbs. Versatility: while designed for an acoustic (acoustic/electric) guitar, this amp sounds great with electric guitars (single coil, humbuckers, solid body, semi-hollow and hollow body guitars) as well. As mentioned above, it is a very clean sounding amp. However, it does take external pedals (like distortion, wah, etc.) well. Overall, this is an excellent sounding amp with tons of features, in a lightweight, compact package, portable, rechargeable and ready to be used for any outdoor gig, busking, and much more. The amplifier is awesome for what it was designed to do! The product arrived in great condition. The overall quality is excellent. The amplifier has a traditional amp look and feel. The sound is great at low volumes (acoustic guitar) but becomes a bit distorted at the higher volume settings. The Chorus and Reverb features work great (nice knobs too). This amp is significantly louder and clearer sounding than other 1-3 watt battery-operated amplifiers (i.e. run on a 9v battery) I've tried. It's not going to sound like my Fishman LoudBox Mini (60W). That's a whole higher level of expectation. This amp is great for messing around the house and you can take it to your backyard and play music from your phone or play guitar along with the music. The battery life is around 2.5 hours after being fully charged playing at modest volumes. I like that it has two channels for input (mike and a guitar) and it's blue tooth compatible so you can jam with your own music on your phone. The blue tooth has its own volume control, a nice feature. I used the DI out to connect to my LoudBox and I was able to play both amps at the same time. It's not too heavy and the strap is very nice and it can also be removed. I researched for quite a bit of time and couldn't find a better product that has all the features I was looking for at this price point. If these are your expectations, then your will be very happy with this amp!

I waited until I had an opportunity to use this amp in the real world to post this review. I purchased this amp for a busking gig. Because I carry all my gear on the subway, I needed a highly portable PA for acoustic guitar and voice. I played on a noisy street corner, and the sound from the amp carried well, with a surprising amount of headroom. Also, after playing for 1 1/2 hours, I still had plenty of battery life left. I used a preamp for the guitar, since I use a passive pickup and the amp lacks a midrange setting. I was able to dial in a more than respectable sound, especially given the small speaker. I had a little more trouble with the vocals. They were certainly loud enough, but sounded a little muddy, perhaps due to the lack of midrange controls. But for the rough and tumble world of street busking, this thing worked like a charm.

I love everything about this portable guitar/vocal amp! It has almost every feature I was looking for. It is of good quality, and feels very well built. It has plenty of volume for practicing or performing in a medium-sized room. Having reverb on the mic channel, and chorus and reverb on the guitar channel is great - and those effect sound good and are very usable. My only wish is that the guitar channel also had a separate gain control or distortion effect, but it's not a big deal to just use a separate distortion pedal for that. I also love the Bluetooth capability with it's own volume control, so that you can play along to music from your phone, or to just use the amp as a portable wireless speaker. Seems to hold a charge for many hours of use. I also love that there are options for connecting any external source via 1/8th" audio cable. For example, I'm using that to hook up my old laptop to it that doesn't have any Bluetooth capability. The headphone and DI outputs are also nice touches, so that you can use it for private practice as well as for recording to your computer. At only $135 I couldn't be happier with this purchase! Giving 5/5 stars and highly recommend!

For under $150 this is actually a really good amp. I was considering the Fishman Loudbox Mini, but thought I would take a chance since the Fishman is over $300. I've played through the Fishman and it is better, but is it 3 times better? Probably not. I've actually completely disassembled the Loudbox Mini after a friend left his in the rain overnight. It has higher quality speakers, woofer with a composite cone and a rubber surround, tweeter is much larger too, at least the magnet is. This amp has pretty good speakers, but are more a paper based blend from what it seems. Still the woofer has quite a large magnet. The tweeter is a little lacking and only adds a tiny bit of high end. The speakers are easily replaceable though. They are not soldered to the speaker wires, they have regular speaker terminal connectors. So maybe it is possible to slightly improve the sound of this amp with new speakers. I did not fully disassemble this amp like I did on the Fishman, so I can't say much about the electronics under the top panel. The Fishman has it's Bluetooth board separate inside the cabinet on the tweeter side. I think they do this to minimize interference and maximize the Bluetooth range. I did not see that on this amp inside the cabinet. Likely not a big deal, but the Fishman may have a slightly better Bluetooth range. Have not got to test that side by side. Speaking of the Bluetooth, when turned on on this amp it does make a little bit of noise/hiss. Not a big deal if you're playing a gig as it's not noticeable from several feet away, but if you use this amp as a Bluetooth speaker in a closer setting, like watching videos on your phone or something, it is slightly noticeable. I've been using this amp with both acoustic and electric guitars. It actually sounds pretty nice on electric if you don't need any drive. Of course you could use a pedal for that, but I've been using it just to play clean style stuff. The chorus and reverb are fairly decent, although the reverb has a little bit of slap back in it. Almost like it's a blend between delay and reverb, which makes sense as reverb takes more processing power than delay and therefore would use more battery life if it was a more complex reverb algorithm. The volume controls are fairly sensitive, especially with my electric that has a fairly high output. I don't have to turn the volume knob up much to get a decent volume, but this is expected as this is marketed as an acoustic amp and some acoustic guitars have a much lower output. I have got some distortion occasionally, usually when playing Bluetooth and both inputs fairly loud, but in most cases it has been pretty clean. I did notice some buzzing/vibration, but it turned out to be the speaker grille. The speaker grille is only attached with three pieces of Velcro and does not have quite as secure of feel as the Fishman amp, which uses a slot and screw based system. Some of the speaker grille cloth had excess material, which was folded over on itself and prevented the velcro from securing well. It meant the grill was somewhat loose and vibrated at certain frequencies. However, since it is Velcro it's very easy to take off and you do not have any vibration/rattling/buzzing. I would prefer a more secure way for the grill to be attached, but it's not a deal breaker and I may look at modifying it at some point to hold better. Battery life has been good so far, although I've not tested it to the 8-hour limit, I have played it for at least 4 hours several times. One of the pictures in the Amazon listing could be mistaken that it has a way to charge your USB devices, since the picture shows two ports. It does not have a USB out, only one USB C input. It would be nice to have a USB out, although I suppose it could compromise the battery life in the long term. I would like to see that feature as I have an adapter to power 9 volt guitar pedals from a USB source. Not a deal breaker, but it would be even less stuff to bring when I am not near power. Overall it's a pretty awesome little amp and I would recommend it if you're looking for a battery powered setup under $150.

This is very good value for the dollar. Overall I am satisfied to have gone with this choice rather than go with Fishman, Bose or Boss comparables which are much more expensive. The build quality is good. Tone quality is good when adjusted from flat. With an SM 58 mic into the vocal channel I can turn up to about half before feedback and distortion. The guitar channel volume I keep at 8 oclock for vocal/guitar balance. The reverb adjustable on both channels is large hall effect that I keep that at 11 o'clock the chorus level on the guitar is set 2 o'clock. This is my home practice and performance volume about 70 dB for a restaurant setting where I need to have a quick easy portable set-up not wanting to haul separate speakers, stands, mixers or a pedalboard. Bass on the vocal is at 2 oclock to get a bit more oomph on the voice. Treble on the guitar is set to 2 oclock. The tones from 6.5 inch woofer and 1.5 inch tweeter are so set to be satisfying so that I don't need to haul my Marshall ASD50 or PA cabs. The manual is terse needs more explanation or detail and so I had problems initially charging the battery using a smartphone USB C cable. Using the USB C cable provided and a different charger fixed this. A charging indicator light comes on the back panel when the connection is good and the battery is charging and will go off when the battery is fully charged. Then the top panel battery level indicator will have all 3 LED lights lit upon power up. The provided Bluetooth connection is useful for practice when Im learning new songs and need to hear the original tune on my phone. The amp looks good, feels good, sounds good and is a nice addition to my collection of 10 other amplifiers.
