Several years ago my dermatologist recommended I started using Differen Gel. It's really good for me. You may want to consult a physician or do a spot test over a course of a month if you want to know how it reacts to your skin. It's good for me. This keeps my skin routine simple. Wash,moisturize, wait a few hours, then differen before bed. And don't use salicylic acid before you apply differen. It will burn. Like fire ants chewing you alive with lemon wedges. A good substitute for salicylic acid is benzoyl peroxide. You can use a salicylic acid wash, just wait a couple hours minimum b4 applying differen. And apply it at night. This review doesn't do enough justice. Watch a YouTube video on how to apply and use differen. It's prescription grade stuff that used to require a prescription once upon a time ... show more

This differin gel really works for acne skin and my skin rarely gets acne since I start using it a few years ago. But the price is pretty high. And I would try other products next time.

I ordered this product when my old go-to, ProActiv, failed me. I’m 45, have combination skin (mostly normal with some oily spots on the sides of my nose, between the eyebrows and chin). I usually get a monthly small bump with my period and was able to stop them in their tracks with ProActiv. Recently I’ve started perimenapause and wound up with multiple cystic acne bumps on my chin and a couple of smaller ones between my eyebrows. When the ProActive didn’t do much, I researched and found this product. After 2 days, most acne was gone, 2 of the larger, painful ones were about a third of the size and no longer hurt. Now I’m on day 7 and the acne is gone. Bonus- I also noticed my fine lines are gone and a little bit deeper wrinkles are greatly reduced! This stuff is amazing! Just beware, it makes your skin VERY sensitive to sunlight, so wear a stronger sunblock when in the sun and reapply often. Don’t buy anything else for wrinkles or acne. Order now! ... show more

Differin gel was prescribed to me by my dermatologist for my hormonal acne. Differin is the only product that I have repeatedly went back too. I have tried Clindamycin, benzoyl peroxide acne face wash, gel and chemical peels prescribed by my dermatologist and these products never fully cleared up my skin. So I switched to organic natural products like aloe Vera because I would still get acne with differin, and I thought that differin was not working as well as it should have cause my skin was never flawless even though I used it for a year every night so I made a big decision to stop differin completely and only use aloe Vera on my face. That was a bad decision because my skin broke out in the worst way possible. I sipped using differin for 3 months and only used aloes and now my skin is very severe with acne so now am running back to differin the only product that has brought down my acne to minor. Differin acne treatment works but what lesson I have learned is that when you start differin don’t ever stop it, at least in my case Differen is for life because my acne was never this severe until I got off of it. ... show more
