I bought the ACMER S1 mainly for small DIY projects at home and so far it’s been working well. The engraving on wood is clean and the details come out sharp, especially for small text and logos. Setup wasn’t hard and I was able to get it running pretty quickly. The working area isn’t very big, but it’s fine for crafts and small items. I’ve tried it on wood and acrylic with no issues. For the size and price, the accuracy is better than I expected. Overall, it’s a solid little laser engraver for beginners or hobby use. If you don’t need a large working area, this one gets the job done.

This is quite an interesting machine. I had an embroidery, screen printing and sublimation printing business for 27 yrs so im familiar with all kind of software. The machine itself does what you ask it BUT I gave it only 4 stars because the learning curve on the software is pretty difficult. Mygoal right now is to engrave leather key tags. They are oval and getting them lined up properly has been a real pain. There are no real instructions so you need to depend on. AI and YouTube ....both have helped me a lot. Also you MUST buy a laser cover to protect yourself from the laser hurting your eyes and it needs to be vented. Both of these come in one purchase so iam anxious to get them and set them up.
