It’s a great island/cart but it took me 2.5 days to assemble. I’m a pretty good assembler but I probably shouldn’t have tried to assemble this less than 2 weeks after giving birth and also having a wild toddler at home. It was pure hell assembling this. My toddler destroyed the styrofoam and scattered it all over the house. My newborn kept crying so I was constantly having to stop and restart every half hour. My toddler had to eat a bologna sandwich for lunch because I didn’t have time to cook something better since I was concentrating on this cart. The instructions are pretty vague regarding directions the pieces have to go so I had to redo most of the steps since they were done in the wrong direction. It also should have been done with 2 people, not just 1, which is why it was more difficult than it should’ve been. The actually assembly wasn’t that hard but the instructions couldve been much better which is why I removed a star. My situation also made it nearly impossible. But I’m proud to say, 2.5 days later, almost every step redone, I now have a beautiful kitchen island!!!! I really love it and it was worth the blood, sweat, and tears. ... show more

First off, I waited 3 weeks for this to come in. Then, this is how the hardware came, a jumbled mess in a baggie. The pieces are not marked at all, but they are mostly unique so that’s mostly okay. Despite these oddities, it was relatively easy to put together and I really only needed a second person to turn it right side up, which I could have done on my own but I didn’t want to risk scratching it up on my uneven flooring. ... show more

I have rated this 1 star but subject to change if I hear back from the seller. The item arrived sooner than expected so that was great. However, when I went to take out the stainless steel top, I noticed at least 6 dents (I only included 2), and the wood cross-section is broken. I have reached out to the seller but since others have noted receiving a dented top & it's still happening (and these are obvious dents!), want to ensure others are aware that this is clearly an ongoing quality control issue. ... show more
