It is a strong structure. I bought it for kids, I am 250 lbs and feel safe sleeping on top or bottom bunks. Took a few hours to put together, but easy to do. This bunk bed is a tank, rock solid. A few warnings - be REALLY careful “reading” the instructions. You DO NOT want to unscrew these screws because the heads strip super easy, even hand tightening with the Allen wrench provided. The metal is so soft the screw extractors wouldn’t work. I laughed out loud when I got to the instructions on how to take the top off and turn it into two queen size beds. This bed is only coming apart with a blow torch or a hand grenade. ... show more
