I really hate all the reviews that were posted. I almost didn't buy this chair, but the price sucked me in. 1st, I bought the chair because of its size and someone's review that stated perfect for a smaller room. Well, it is perfect for a smaller room. Mine. I wanted a smaller recliner that I could put in my room for reading purposes. I hated lying down with pillows. Uncomfotable... So 1 reviewer stated it didn't come with hardware and they are right, the screws did not come in the box, however I can still use my chair without them since you slide the back in place. I carefully without using a heavy hand gently pulled out the handle and my chair reclined nicely. I pulled my legs down slowly to close the recline and no problems. Maybe the screws have something to do with the problem, I don't know but haven't needed to put wd-40 either which I was fully prepared to do. My daughter wanted me to get one of these from big lots but I stuck to my guns and bought and love this chair. I am always careful and not rough with my things so I see me having this chair for a while. I am a 165 lb women, 53 years old. Chair fits me perfect and I can read more comfortably and take a little snooze if I want to. Love this chair and the price. Be careful with this chair and you will have it a long time. If anything changes I will let you know.. Chair feels sturdy as far as the frame goes, doesn't squeak at all. Filling is firm so you won't sink in it. Great chair for the price. I got the recliner today and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the material is. It's a nice cotton suede like fabric. The color is not sage green, it's a light sage green but it's not a big deal to me. It's not the kind of recliner you sink into when you sit in it but it's comfortable, definitely. And like others have said, it is on the smaller side. Not that I was expecting anything huge and I'm not disappointed at all, but if you're a big person, you may be uncomfortable trying to fit into it. I'm petite and I fit in it just fine but I could not see a big guy fitting into it...someone who's kind of big in the middle. There's only about an inch on each side of me then there's the arms and I'm pretty small. It's really comfy when I lay back on it, no matter how far back I go. The top has a little more cushion on it so you really don't need a pillow for your head and the arms of the chair were puffier than I expected and I liked that a lot. The chair is easy to recline and to get back down. I read some people had issues with getting it to go back down. I dont know if they have weak leg muscles or what but I can very easily make the chair close to get up and it stays closed. But then again, I've only had it for about 4 hours now. If it changes, I'll update this review to let you know. The only reason I didn't give this five stars is because the seat part of it is a little firmer than I had antisipated but it's not uncomfortably so but I would have enjoyed sinking in to it just a little more. Also, when you get it it comes in two parts. You're supposed to slide the flat rods into the top holders that act as railings to hold it and then it snaps into place. The one rod was bent and I could see it had scratches on it like it was bent before shipping (no way did this happen during shipping) and I could not get it to go into the railing holder thingy. The other side had already snapped into place and I could not undo it so I had a heck of a time trying to make the other side slide in, after I got a hammer and gave a few good whacks to make it straight again. It was doable but it should not have arrived like that. But even with that malfunction, I got it snapped together in under 3 minutes so it's really not a big deal for me but it may be to others. ... show more

    • ABSOLUTE JUNK - DO NOT BUY YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR $$$$

TOTAL JUNK is the best I can say about these. Granted I have had them less then 30 days but one has totally fallen apart already. They arrived in boxes that were barely even still holding them and basically fell apart when opening. Assembly is fast and easy and the color is as expected but that is about all I can say is good about them. They are very narrow and most adults are not likely to fit well. Extremely flimsy construction. I sit in this daily for about an average of 3 hours after work and Sunday afternoon watching football. Just the short 3 weeks I have had them we have been very careful because they felt so weak. Tonight I sat down and went to recline back and heard the cracking as the back on one side crumbled where the support connects the back to the base. It is now useless. I picked up phone and called the number for the warranty plan I purchased and low and behold they have no record of me and referred me back to the "store". When I said I bought through Amazon I was told "oh I dont have access to the Amazon purchases you have to call back Mon-Fri". Amazing since the warranty plan has the number I called and 24 hour service right on it. Now I have to figure out how to fight with warranty company and Amazon to try and get this resolved all while having a chair with no back, wonderful. Take the advise of the reviews here and STEER CLEAR of these CHEAP and crappy chairs!!!! EDIT - I was able to do online chat with Amazon.com rep and they did not hesitate to put in a replacement order immediately and a free return shipment. Still does not change quality of the chairs but at least replaces the broken for now and I will just have to take extreme care with them until I can replace with a higher quality item. ... show more
