The computer is awesome, quick, responsive, incredible screen, great keyboard. That said, on arrival mine sounded like it came with a blown speaker, really bad audio quality popping and crackling like crazy. It was so bad I began the returns process thinking I had gotten a lemon. While I was starting the returns I figured I would try to update the drivers just in case (didn't think of that first as I assumed a brand new computer would have the latest drivers installed). After installing the audio driver from Acers website the audio started working properly and all was well. This thing is incredible, exactly the computer I wanted. Quick but small and light, a perfect travelers companion. Just do yourself a favor if you have any issues on a new one and update your drivers! ... show more

    • Problem after problem after problem after problem after problem...you get the idea.
Update3: The laptop dies all of the time even though the battery is at 100%. The battery will be at 100% and then somehow it will say “battery low” and shut down before I can plug it in. Then when it finally boots back up and is plugged in, it either won’t charge, or the battery will take 2 minutes to go from 0% to 100%. I think at this point with all of it’s problems, I’m going to have to just cut my losses and buy another laptop. This one will randomly stop typing, has major audio issues more than half the time, I am always having to reinstall drivers, or it just completely freezes for no reason. Sometimes I can’t even get through writing an email before it will stop typing, freezes, or shuts down completely even on a full battery. Acer says that it's Amazon's problem to fix, and Amazon says to contact Acer. My advice? DO NOT BUY! Update 2: It's still not fixed. The keyboard will always freeze when it comes out of sleep mode. So now I can never use sleep mode. It has constant audio driver issues (no audio and missing driver) that requires restarts at least three times a month. And half the time the speaker audio is so cracky and staticy that I cant use it and have to restart. And it will go from 100% battery to 0% in seconds, FOR NO REASON! The worst purchase I've ever made. And no one will fix it even though I have the asurion amazon insurance and the Acer insurance. Update: After 7 months of having this laptop, the keyboard freezes so frequently that I have to send it in for repairs. Amazon wasn't helpful despite this being a manufacturer's problem they refused to replace the laptop. When I went to Acer for help, they only offered repair but I had to pay shipping. Overall, I am very disappointed with this purchase and the service, I won't be buying expensive electronics from Amazon again. Original post: I am very pleased with the battery life of this laptop. But I do have some complaints. The keyboard has frozen on me twice in the month I've had it. It also came with scratches on the aluminum casing. It also overheats while it is plugged in to charge while I'm working on it. The images and text on websites also come off as blurry, even on the email app that was readily installed, the text font is blurry sometimes. ... show more

    • Great for the money.
Got this for the office. So far I like it. It has a lot going for it especially for the price. At $650 you're getting an i7 with an MX150. That is a great deal. The laptop is pretty lightweight and very thin and portable. The battery life so far is about 10 hrs of normal to light use (battery settings on battery saver and 25% brightness). Makes for a great office laptop. The speakers though they fire downwards are still decent. You wont be starting a rave using them but they work much better than expected. The trackpad is good and uses windows precision drivers which is great and uses all the gestures. It's not the biggest but it's a good for the money. It does have some downfalls. My main issue is the keyboard. The keys have good travel and are back lit but the keys are too small and will take some time to get used to tying on it. I keep missing the keys and hitting the space in between. It does have an overlapping numberpad on the right part of the keyboard. Haven't used it yet but not sure how fucntional it might be.     • PROBLEMS WITH HEADPHONES and FINGERPRINT READER
If you're looking to use headphones with this laptop beware. Several complaints about headphones not working. I've tried several fixes but continue to have the same problem. The fingerprint reader is useless, only works about one third of the time.
