When I unboxed it I loved the presentation, a specialty box was a nice touch. Startup and setup presented no issues although the Microsoft suite really wants you to use a Microsoft account. Screen quality is great, system runs stable and very fast. I installed a Samsung 2TB SSD and 500GB M.2 drive with ease, about 15 minutes if you really take your time. The battery life of the laptop is good and will give you as advertised battery life for most functions but if you are going to run a load-heavy game like Escape from Tarkov, have your power cable with you. The game places pretty heavy demands on the CPU and GPU which drains the battery quickly. Other than being picky about the battery, can't recommend this laptop enough! ... show more

I believe this is the best midrange gaming laptop for the buck. Performance is as advertised, no disappointments. My son loves it too, plays all his games with no issues. Who cares about battery life. Can't beat it for the money.

    • I Love this Laptop
I Love this laptop. I game a lot on it and it can handle anything that I play. It does run a little hot and I had to re-paste the CPU/GPU and have had not issues with it since. I play Borderlands 3, Witcher 3, WOW, Final Fantasy XIV, Fallout and a lot of older games on high/ultra setting with no issues. This has been a great gaming laptop and I will definitely be getting another Acer product when I finally give it to the wife and buy another. ... show more

    • Fan broke within 1 year of use.
Laptop is good performance wise but after one year of use the GPU fan broke and its been so hard to find an exact replacement. Ended up building a desktop, at least then when something breaks I can replace it. Cheap acer quality.

    • Audio Problems
Less than a month in, afflicted with locally unresolvable audio issues. Sent in for repairs (takes a week to ship, the 20 days to repair, then another week back). Still unresolved. Would really be nice to have a working computer, especially having paid so much for a good new one.

    • Excellent and fast laptop
I brought this laptop last month, so far so good. Really fast and compact. If I need to mention something negative (no major problem), the fan makes a little noise (constant) and the surface has my fingerprints in all parts (material issue). But, I believe that you gonna enjoy it a lot.

No issues with packaging, or the notebook working on arrival. It is quiet and runs cool for typical usage and I have yet to hear the fans kick in. Back light screen bleed is a little noticeable on mine, but nothing major. It came with 2 x 8GB of DDR4 2666hz RAM and a single 512GB m.2 SSD. I have added myself a thin 2.5" WD 2TB sata ssd as additional storage and there is a spare m.2 slot as well. For the price, this is one of the best value gaming laptops out there in late 2019.
