  • Great performance at low price. No problems so far.

The installation was simple but lengthy. I have a 10850kf cpu and my motherboard needed a BIOS update for the rebar. After installing the drivers and before doing the BIOS update, the GPU was running like a slide show. BIOS update took a while, lots and lots of reboots but finally had the rebar enable option in the BIOS and GPU started working well. I have the GPU mounted vertically and I thought the RGB would look good but it is kind of dull looking in real life. The first fan has a very dull looking RGB and the second fan has some RGB but barely there. I don't think the RGB quality looks as good as they advertise in the box. But, it is OK enough looking and not too bad; just not as good as I thought it was going to be. The GPU came with the Assassin's Creed game and the code came in the next day after delivery. It is running 60 fps on high settings on ultra-wide 1440p system. The game runs smoothly enough that I'm immersed and enjoying it. There are some hitches when loading levels but gameplay is smooth. Overall, for the price it is a good card and happy with it. Aesthetics could be better but its not too bad. ... show more

  • Fantastic bang for your buck

I got this card on the Black Friday sales for a song. It punches well above its weight class. I'm driving 3 4K monitors in MS flight simulator with no glitches. The only drawback I found is that it will not run X-Plane. They've been doing a great job with updating the drivers and over the four months that I've owned it my benchmark scores have gone up about 20%. ... show more

  • Better than I expected
Number of Items: 1 Style: A770 16GB GDDR6
Nice looking card that performs better than I thought. I run this on my backup box with an i5 12600k and 32gb ddr5 5600. It runs 3440x1440 well enough though I suspect it would really shine at normal 1440p. It’s a nice looking card and temps aren’t terrible. I mostly bought it to support intel and try to get another player in the game. Intel Arc control is crap and after two fresh installs of windows, it still freezes instantly any time I try to run it. Not really needed software anyway. Just don’t forget to make sure resize bar is enabled. ... show more

  • Frustrating Video Card - I really wanted to like it
Number of Items: 1 Style: A770 16GB GDDR6
Review update---- I had to RMA the video card the small middle fan goes bad after a few months of usage. I start hearing a bad wine during startup and gameplay, I took it to my local computer repair shop and they said the middle small fan is loose and causing the issue. So, I recommend not buying the ACER version, the tech told me that the small fan is prone to brake, bad design and cheaply made. Well, I took a chance on trying the Intel arc a770 in my new system build and I can say it was a big mistake. Constant issues from the beginning, it will not run my favorite older shooter games like Soldier of Fortune II, it constantly crashes during game play, playing COD2 and it crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay with the "fatal error" notification, it is a great looking video card and seems to run pretty cool. I notified new drivers were increasing performance according to intel, but there is so much wrong with the Arc intel video card, that just did not help, so I will be returning it. I wanted to give it a shot, but intel really screwed this up, I just thought a high tech company like intel would do a lot better job in creating a gaming discrete graphics card, especially since they brought on high level AMD employees to help out, I guess it did not work out. I still hope they can fix the issues and release a better video card in the near future, since I am getting tired of AMD and NVIDIA charging over 1,200 - 2,000 graphics card that no one can afford or obtain, we need more tech companies involved in making GPU's to bring down the prices and give us alternatives to AMD and NVIDIA's stranglehold on the GPU marked. Common Intel, figure it out already. ... show more

  • Has Potential, but still needs work.
Number of Items: 1 Style: A770 16GB GDDR6
I initially bought the bitfrost A770 for my dad to play halo mcc. Unfortunately frame rate was very unstable and would go into the 20’s at lowest and then would jump to the 60’s. It wasn’t stable for his use case, which were a bunch of older dx9 games. However, cyberpunk 2077 ran great and the Witcher 3 with the next gen update. Diablo 4 as well and Halls of Torment. If you are willing to wait for driver updates and you aren’t gifting this to a family member it’s worth the purchase! I myself have an Ark A770le 16gb and have it in a secondary rig and does great for what I play. However, with the experience my dad was having. I had to return this for an RTX 3060 so his games would be stable and smooth. Lots of titles work great, such as SC2. Just if you experience frame drop, remember it’ll get fixed with drivers in time. Good work for a first gen card from intel. ... show more

  • Can't speak for games but it encodes videos like a champ.
Number of Items: 1 Style: A770 16GB GDDR6
I've been wanting to upgrade my desperation Covid GPU purchase, an Nvidia 1650, with an ARC card since I first heard about them. I could never get the Intel special edition version but got lucky and purchased this from Amazon when it went on sale a couple of weeks ago. Paired this with my MSI tomahawk and Ryzen 5900x and the install went without a hitch. Followed online advice and I first made sure to turn on rebar in the bios before uninstalling all Nvidia drivers. I booted it up and after a few automatic reboots, the Acer software automatically updated the drivers and it's been running smooth for the last few days. The only game that I have on my system is, The hunter, Call of the wild, and every setting is on ultra! Haven't' played much but no crashes for the fifteen minutes I walked around. Other than that I bought this card for video encoding and it runs smooth on Handbrake. I have no issues when encoding videos or processing images and according to the Acer monitoring software, it has yet to fully utilize all of it's speed or memory. Though its only been a few days, I have not had a single crash nor issues with this card. The Acer software seems to be doing a good job of keeping the drivers up to date and overall I'm very happy with this card. I can't speak for the majority of buyers who are gamers but if someone is looking for a good all around card with 16 gb of memory to encode videos and do photoshop, this is a card worth looking at. I will definitely upgrade to the next ARC gpu when it comes out. I am done with Nvidia unless they come out with AVAILABLE and affordable cards that encode faster for a decent cost. ... show more
