I bought this for my 15 year old as a starter gaming PC. He was previously using my old HP gaming laptop and it was fairly old and starting to struggle to keep up with his gaming. Plus, it had a very small graphics card and memory which made it hard to game together. I don't know what is great or wonderful in the PC world, I know just enough to be dangerous but not enough to rave about this or that. I can just basically tell you that this PC has been awesome for him. He talks all the time about how fast it is, and he has a ton of games installed on it. It runs great, it's quiet and its just an all-around good starter PC. I wasn't a huge fan of the ACER brand for laptops, but this desktop has been awesome. 0 problems with it. Amazon advertises this machine with four memory slots - the mother board only has two. Other than that, this is a great machine for beginning to mid level gamers. It has enough power and video capability for every game that I currently play. As this was a gift, I upgraded the RAM to 16Gig and tested it before I presented to my daughter. Pretty decent value, I think, for the price range. I use it for Steam gaming and CG art. Looks fairly cool with red LEDs on the inside. Haven't upgraded anything except adding a SATA and nvme SSD just to hold Steam games. Might add RAM in the future, but has enough for most of my uses. Biggest complaint is the proprietary power supply unit (PSU). Hard to say how reliable it is and no aftermarket options last I checked. The cables may look normal, but the wiring inside is not. It also used to make a ticking sound, but seems to have gone away after a few months. I recommend at least using a surge protector and backing up your files regularly. ... show more

Editing my review because it turns out the issue I was having also happened after I returned the Nitro and bought a different computer. I was getting black screens a lot during my games and thought it was an issue with the GPU on the Nitro. It turns out the issue was because my monitor is rated for 200 mhz, and my FPS cap was set too high for my monitor. The GPU was more than sufficient, and was actually outperforming my monitor, which was why the issue was occurring. The Nitro should be able to handle most games. I never got to really experience it because of my own fault, but seems like it should do good and at a good price point. ... show more

This was surprisingly easy to carry into another room and set up, and to a person that originally only had a puny 2 Gb on her graphics card and was not able to play any game that came out after 2020, now the graphics are astonishingly better. Do yourself a favor, though, and order a HDMI to VGA converter with this if you are like me and do not have the latest and greatest monitor to plug in - mine is widescreen, but is VGA and I could not use the new graphic card until I had the right cable. It also does not have a DVD or CD-rom, so if you need one you have to order that, too. Once you get over the audacity of such a thing now not being included in a computer, that is. Laptops have long been doing that, and floppy disk drives I get, but in a desktop tower with lots of room?! ... show more
