I bought this as a replacement for my Acer Nitro 17 (2016) model. I like this laptop a lot! The charging and HDMI ports in the back are a nice touch. The screen looks great, and the customizable RGB keyboard is fun. I bought this for school work/gaming and I know I won't have an issue doing either with it. Also another nice surprise was how much tension the usb ports had on them. I've never owned a device that holds onto thumb drives and cables like this thing does! No worries about something coming unplugged accidently. Only con I have is the back of the lid shows fingerprints real easy, even touching it with freshly washed hands still leaves it looking like I just got done eating fried chicken. Might try putting a vinyl wrap on the lid to remedy this. All around I am very happy with this purchase and recommend getting this laptop for anyone looking for a great laptop at a great price. ... show more

    • Dead after 2 yrs.
Laptop lasted just 2 years before blue screens of death and CPU and or motherboard died. Took it to repair shop after trying all kinds of driver updates, hard reset and he said he had never seen so many reasons for blue screens of death in the log.

Item purchased new and arrived by the seller "BESTRY" in a box enclosed with "check packaging contents" packing tape. The bottom chassis was cracked, the seller was unresponsive to my return request, a dispute was filed, and the product was received for free thanks to consumer protection laws. Now, as for the product itself... The screen quality is good, WiFi is exceptional. It can handle high-end games such as Elden Ring on low settings; however, the temperature does run high around 92 degrees celsius for the CPU and the fans become loud. I don't believe it performs at a $1,500 price point but instead around $800. You're mainly buying for portability with consideration of cost/performance compared to building your own stationary gaming desktop. ... show more

Great Gaming PC for those unable to have a desktop computer who still don’t want to sacrifice performance. (So long as the fans have proper clearance) I’ve been using it for a few months with no overheating issues or really any negative experience with the laptop at all! Unfortunately hours before writing this review my laptop managed to find its way out of a moving car window at 15 MPH. After a full test of the laptop theirs no damage to report excepts for some very minor surface scratches. All considered this purchase was well worth the money spent. ... show more

I will make this plain and simple. For those of you who are looking for something where you can just get right into gaming with high/ultra settings with great FPS without breaking the bank then this is the laptop for you. Very fast boot times, very little bloatware and easy to set up. This thing will run all of your games either on high or ultra settings by default if that is what you prefer. I recommend buying a cooling pad preferably the one from kootec. I have no issue with temps at all. The cooling pad keeps things cool. Purchased this as a work computer to use with zbrush modeling software and it was quickly confiscated by my son. lol. His desktop was getting dated and the fact that this laptop seems to have a more current CPU, GPU and such really got him excited. Once he tried it he fell in love and all the current games are playing for him at full graphical settings. Set it up with an accompanying Acer Predator gaming monitor and it runs even better.     • Was worth the price until the GPU failed.
It ran games like New World at max settings just fine. Problem is three months in and the GPU started having a critical hardware failure rendering it useless and causing the system to default to the processor's Radeon GPU. Specific failure was listed as error 43 in the Windows device manager. Even after fully removing and reinstalling drivers and the operating system the failure still exists which is a sure sign of a physical issue. Thankfully I was within 90 days off purchase and Amazon allowed a return saving me from a $1600 loss. I've had an Acer Predator helios 300 that had worked for over 5 years no issue so I'm not sure if this is a one off occurrence, but buyer beware. ... show more
