My previous Chromebook crashed and died suddenly on Thursday morning, and my budget was pretty low for something new. I took a risk on this refurbished Chromebook because of the reviews, and it worked out! There are no scratches or dents, it came with a new charging cable, and I am incredibly relieved to have a new computer for $115. It is a bit slow, but I only use it to surf the internet and use Google Workspace, so it fits my needs just fine.

This laptop does exactly what I need it to. I got it to surf the web,write emails, and watch movies on. No issues so far and it holds a charge good in my opinion. The speed is perfectly fine for those uses. I would recomend getting it if you are on the fence and want to use it for what I said above.

I got this as a refurbished unit. Slight scratch on the cover, but overall in great condition and excellent price. I think overall it's a solid build, nothing feels flimsy including the keyboard and touchpad. The hardware is mated well to ChromeOS and apps such as the Chrome browser and Zoom run crisp and not laggy. The 15 inch display is the perfect size to handle hours of Zoom classes. Furthermore, the speakers are loud and clear (particulary compared to the HP Chromebook15). Where the cost-cutting was is in the display and it is the biggest drawback of this laptop, but I knew this going in. 780P resolution makes pictures and words a little grainy and the non-IPS display limits the viewing angle. I have to say for the refurb price I got this for, the display is not a deal killer at all and the display makes up for these drawbacks by having very good max brightness. They make an FHD, IPS, touchscreen version of this laptop if you want to spend the extra money, but I think this version suits our needs just fine.

I'm writing this after exhausting ways to contact the Seller and Amazon. I purchased this 7/4/24 as a replacement school Chromebook for our child. It worked fine for what we were doing and we additionally had the Assurion monthly insurance subscription so I thought it was a great deal. A week ago my kid let me know the screen shut off during school and wouldn't restart. We assumed bad charger and ordered an additional one. The new charger did not light the charging light or trigger any response from the unit. We tried two other chargers from units in our home and they didn't work either. Meanwhile the other two chromebooks worked fine with any of the chargers. I spoke with Amazon customer service who said it was a seller problem. I spoke to the seller who told us the "90 days were up" and it was probably just a charger issue. And just because I have nothing better to do with my day apparently I called the manufacturer and was told any warranty on the unit was up. I intend to continue to pursue this issue since I am paying for insurance coverage through Assurion but I suggest anyone looking for an inexpensive unit for school to skip the Renewed items. The warranty is crap. Neither the seller or Amazon seem to think there is anything unusual about a unit dying after 6 months, when we've had renewed HPs and Dells purchased from Walmart or BestBuy last until the screens literally fell off from hinge wear. I only selected this because I thought the amazon warranty would have my back, and that was clearly a mistake.

Buying refurbished, I guessed that I'd receive a laptop with a lot of bumps and bruises. However, this thing is practically brand new! I'm a Chromebook fan and this one is spot on. Everything functions great. The power cord that came with it appears to be brand new. Overall, good value for the price!

This refurbished Chromebook looked brand new. The new image burn was fine, and it's plenty fast enough. Took a while to figure out how Chrome works instead of windows (for example, there's no right-click for a menu to choose copy/paste) but definitely good for normal stuff like browsing the web.
