I bought this renewed and have had it for a couple weeks. So far I love it! It's fast, keyboard feels great and screen is excellent. Sound quality is mediocre despite the speaker size, I have external speakers so not an issue for me. This unit will remain on my desk (it's big and heavy) plugged in so I'm not sure about battery life but I've read it is average due to its higher end features which require more power. This thing is great. Got it for my son. He uses it at school and then games a lot on it when he's home. We use Amazon Luna and he playes rainbow six siege on it and has no lag or issues with graphics. It's a beautiful screen, quiet keyboard, and decent speakers. He plays death stranding, siege, fortnite, and whatever else in on free version of Luna. It's a great Chromebook esp at this price of like 350. Haven't tried gamepass yet as I don't have a subscription. Oh he also played a little GeForce now but I don't pay for a sub there either so the wait time was too much for him. I digress. I read the reviews on this before I bought it and I almost didn't buy it. The thing is, sometimes products are defective and that's not the seller's fault in any situation. It is something that can't be helped. I ordered 3 of these as Christmas gifts. They came with everything they said they would, they powered on perfectly, the screen was clear, they run pretty fast, and they do everything that they're supposed to do. Only been using it for 2 weeks, but am pleasantly surprised by the performance. And for the price, I can't think of a better cost-benefit purchase. This is my first chromebook and for my laptop needs it delivers much more than I expected.

Great value. Laptop is powerful, and efficient. For $300 as refurbished unit I give it 5 stars. The battery is 100%, seems like it was an open box issue. They sent me a brick. This is supposed to be Acer verified refurbished. When I booted it up for the first time the laptop was in Dev mode, and I didn't want to enter my login info when it's not verified boot (dev mode). Also the wifi wasn't working (said wrong password every time I tried to enter it but same password was working for my phone). I spent hours messing around with it and downloading the recovery media using the chromebook recovery tool and did a powerwash from usb and it still failed. I tried power wash from internet also, and it also failed. The error message said is "failed to get boot mode from Cr50" which means the security chip isn't talking or in sync with the chromebook. Basically a hard reset is not possible. I read about fixing it with grok, and it said one trick was to drain the battery all the way. Strangely enough when I received my laptop the battery was drained all the way, which makes me think someone else tried that trick to revive the laptop and it failed. So someone dumped their problem on me and Acer gladly sent me a piece of garbage and I'm out $400 because I'm overseas, no easy way to return it. I'm very tech savvy and didn't want to waste anymore time messing with this. I've owned probably 12 Chromebooks since I was using them from day 1 and never did I receive a chromebook that was in Dev mode on initial boot.
