The media could not be loaded. This is my first Chromebook. This Chromebook is awesome. I love it. It turns into a tablet when you flip the screen to the back. Chrome OS is very easy to learn. I love how all the apps you need to work just pops up with a click. To make a right click, touch the ALT button and hold it while you tap the trackpad then choose which right click menu option you want from the pop up menu. To see your installed apps, you just tap the launch button. It’s a round circle on the left side of keyboard. I use it as a tablet to play games and when i need to type you just flip it back to laptop mode. Chromebooks have come a long way!

Mine was $100.00 off. The screen resolution is fine for normal use (it's not an 85-inch TV.) It's really fun to have the Android features I'm used to from my Pixel phone on a laptop-tablet. My tech buddies looked askance, "You're buying a Chromebook?" One is an IT manager who works with all of the flavors of Linux, Windows, etc. Another is a game developer whose toolset is Unity. Unlike them, I'm doing language study where easy access to Google Drive, a reliable camera and mic, adequate battery, and a fun user experience are my values. I like to satisfy my wife on birthdays and holidays with gifts from Apple, but my value was to spend less than $500.00 and have that iPad touchscreen capability. This is quite an upgrade from my Samsung Tab 8 and formerly Tab 7. Love it!

Got this when my NEW replacement Lenovo Chromebook broke after the original did the exact same thing (hinges between screen and keboard are cheap and weak. The right hinge snapped in BOTH CASES, after just a few days of use. Very cheaply made and put together.). It's faster than the 8MB Lenovos I had, lighter and the battery easily lasts 10 hours. The comments about the screen are accurate - it's not terrible but certainly not top of the line. I can live with it because i use the computer for basic work, I don't need movie pr gaming quality visuals. or YouTube videos. But considering the price, I can live with it. Definitely worth consideration if you're looking for a great budget Chromebook and can live with the screen being a notch less than most, I'd recommend it.

Bought this Chromebook for my granddaughter on their special day in October. Was a great sale. It was for a Christmas gift in December. The second week in January the laptop broke, screen went black. Since I can no longer return it because it was after the 30 days. I am stuck with a computer that does not work. The seller or Amazon will do nothing about it. What I have learned in purchasing on an Amazon special day, or pre-black Friday deals, don’t do it if you’re going to give the gift as a Christmas present. You will not be able to return it if Price goes down or breaks, found a better deal at Costco. It’s a sad shame you spent over $300. For a Chromebook that you can no longer use. Or pay another two to $300 to get it fixed. What a waste of money and a disappointed grandchild..🥲😢

I've had a Acer Chromebook R 13 Convertible for about 5 1/2 years now. I was very happy with that computer until the touchscreen completely quit working. I was happy with the Acer brand so I chose another one, apparently this one I bought is the updated version of the R13 Convertible, as that one did not come up as an option and this one did. I am not happy with the new computer mainly due to the screen. I love having the touchscreen capability back as well as being able to use it as a tablet or tent (those both also quit on the old Acer, my own fault as it fell on the floor). On the new Acer, the resolution seems very off, words and pictures seem slightly pixelated, dark scenes in my games and on a show I watched on Amazon were hard to see, there seems to be what looks like a white cloud over the screen. I've tried adjusting multiple settings and nothing helps. I am bummed to have to send it back but the price makes it hard to justify to keep. I won't be happy if I keep it, so I want my $400+ back. I will definitely consider another Acer product though.
