The screen extends to 180° and it's touchscreen! she makes fun of my Macbook for not having that ability. The battery lasts a long time. Honestly a great performance for the price.     • Perfect for People Who Want a Chromebook Instead of a Traditional Laptop

I decided to ditch Windows since my Windows10 HP is barely functioning. I was hoping to wait until closer to the October 2025 deadline, but then I saw this Chromebook about a month ago. The price was right and I was tired of waiting half a day for updates to finish installing on my laptop. It was my intention to replace my laptop with a Chromebook, since I was already familiar with the OS. It suits my needs perfectly. It is so much faster and lighter than my laptop was. It is fast and I like the size. The sound is really good for everyday functions. The speakers are on top, on either side of the keyboard, rather than underneath the case. I like how the keyboard feels. It seems like good quality to me. The keys are tight and precise, but not backlit (which wasn't something I needed). I like having the touchscreen for ease of use. The only thing some people might have a problem with is the air vents are on the bottom, so if you're using it on your lap, you'll feel it heat up. It isn't hot, but it's something to be mindful of to prevent overheating. The screen is clear. It's very easy to use this Chromebook, especially if you already have a Google account. Setup was quick and easy. I ordered a wired keypad, since that is something I've grown used to using over the years. I haven't found the adjustment to be troublesome, so I haven't actually used the portable keypad that often. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this product. This is my first Acer product. After setting up the chromebook, the Acer registration process was simple and took about five minutes to complete. This Chromebook starts fast. Updates take less than a minute. Everything I need is at my fingertips. It works with my wireless printer, which also took about five minutes to set up. I really don't have any complaints, but I was upgrading from a 2018 laptop, so other people may not share my experience if they have newer equipment to compare this to. I consistently have a lot of tabs open at the same time. I stream videos and often switch back and forth between tabs and apps. I use wireless earbuds with this as well. Quick and easy setup, perfect functionality. My Favorite Thing: The camera privacy slide. I know it's a small thing. But it was one of the first things that put this in my list of Chromebooks. I ultimately chose this one based on price. It offered everything I was looking for except for a built-in keypad. So far so good.Built sturdy and heavier than some..Picture quality is so good compared to my other chrombooks that dont have 1080 HD..1080 is a must!There is no back-lit keyboard...I was able to get a keyboard cover that has big letters to see better at night tho.It also is a touchscreen which i do use occasionally. Sound is also better!Took awhile to find updates for this.Click languages scroll on left to chromeOS click then click addtional info...This models updates end in June 2033..Happy about that! Everything working good and system is fast..I buy these chrombooks because they have the night lights which i use day and night most of the time because Led light is not good for us..We also use incandesant light bulbs in our house. Will update if my review changes down the road. Edited..The first day no problems until that night it would not load certain websites so decided to return it.I power washed it and boxed it up...Next day i thought i would try again and it worked fine until today it wont load a website..I tried my older chrombook and it loaded website fine...That tells me this one has a problem...I returned and bought same one so fingers crossed no issues. Update..5/2 so far so good..This new laptop has no issues and am confident it will stay that way.Did buy 4 yr warranty just in case. This is my 2nd Chromebook, I purchased this one to replace my old one which quit working after I dropped it, if that didn't happen, it would still be working. This one arrived in perfect condition and I charged it up before using it for the first time. Like magic, I logged into my Google account, and everything loaded right onto this new laptop, I didn't have to do a thing, very easy to set up. The only thing that didn't automatically sync with the new chromebook, were my downloads. I believe I need to take some extra steps to retrieve them because the old one has a black screen due to the drop. It turns on, but I can't view anything, so it may not be possible to retrieve them at all. It picked up my printer automatically and works well with my Brother laser printer, no connectivity issues there. So far, this new Chromebook is working great. I like the clarity of the screen, I know some have mentioned issues with it, but for what I am using it for, mostly just surfing the web, not gaming, it is perfectly fine. The only thing that I would consider to be subpar, would be the volume, it is not as loud as my old CB. I purchased another one because I really did love everything about my old one and never had any issues with it. I usually have a LOT of tabs open, I know that's not a good thing lol, but it handles it very well, never had any issues with it crashing. I will probably purchase the warranty on it within the next 30 days just in case. If I have any issues with this new one, I will come back and update. ... show more
