Starts up immediately, works well, good battery life, etc. This is a well made computer and came with useful extras ( nice case, external memory and cable). Easy to use. Continues to work like new after half a year. Solid. Fairly light weight. Battery lasts several hours and recharges fast. Very pleased. I wish I had moved to a chromebook earlier because it really works well with the mostly Google based applications I use: Gmail, Chrome, Google calendar, etc. Also great for general browsing. I had high hopes, but they were dashed in a couple of hours of use when battery indicator showed it needed to be charged AGAIN! Even after changing settings to conserve battery life, I can’t type more than a couple of hours before I need to connect to a power source. Gave it 1 star for price and what’s included, but I got this to work on my book wherever I am and what good is a laptop that needs to be connected after only a couple hours? My last 3 laptops were Lenovos and I have been pleased in general. I picked up another one from Walmart and ended up taking it back. The build quality was shoddy and it just didn't work for me. This Acer shipped over night and has been a joyous experience. Really good quality & smooth performance so far' I have zero complaints and highly recommend. After one week, I have one issue... It seems to lose the WIFI connection often. This is a minor thing, possibly related to all of the new security features. ... show more

Found I got a very capable laptop that also runs Linux By turning on Chromebook developer mode which automatically installs debian linux to do some basic pushes to git. the ssd is 512GB and is plenty fast enough to install VScode Without any waiting. Thickness is comparable to 2008 Macbook Pro and screen is a matte display, which makes it comfortable to do git terminal tasks at a bash prompt. the CPU is Core i3-N305 which outperforms i5-6300U by a shopping 210% based on benchmark results.after-hours use it as a chromebook for youtube and google work office tasks. ... show more
