Came in three days. Looks brand new. I added a 8gb ram in the second spot for 12gb of ram. According the the system info is only 9.9 usable. The other 2GB is used by the graphics card. What an incredible bargain for the price! I ordered an additional 8 GB memory card per the tip from one of the other reviewers along with the wireless mouse because I hate using the finger scroll pad on a lap top. The Windows 10 setup was the easiest I have ever encountered and it linked to my WiFi, printer, Android Samsung Galaxy 8+ smart phone and MS Office 365 with no difficulties. What else can I say it is a bargain. The processor and the flash drive cost more than the whole PC. I'm a programmer and this thing flies, it is even better with linux. Just be careful if you plan to upgrade the ram I added 16 gigs 2666 from kingsong and it wasn't compatible. Windows keeps saying 2133 even on the bios. Check the compatibility first. ... show more

So I didn't have the money to splurge on a new laptop and wanted a Budget laptop and reliable and fast ! well this device is a true bang for buck and it performs !! I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANY THIS LAPTOP TO ANY ONE LOOKING FOR A BUDGET LAPTOP. This is renewed device but it came looking brand new. I upgraded the ram from 4GB to 8GB by adding another 4 GB stick. NOTE: This laptop allows you to swap out both ram sticks and you can get a maximum of 32GB installed in this laptop. HOWEVER the INTEL i3 variant of this laptop can only get to a maximum of 20GB as the other ram is soldiered on the board. This Laptop has a SATA-3 2.5 Inch drive slot while the INTEL i3 variant doesn't. NOTE: If plan on using the 2.5 Inch SATA-3 then you will have to have the screws that screw into the hard drive as they didn't come in the box. The back-lit keyboard is nice and works great and the space where the touch pad is big enough for me to rest on, the build quality is great for the price. Needed a laptop for the kids for online learning thanks to the coronavirus. Looked at getting a Chromebook since the performance demands weren't too much, but for basically the same price as a low-end Chromebook I realized I could get this, which is FAR more powerful, feature rich, and with a much better and bigger IPS HD screen. And a lot more future proof as they get older and might want to run real PC applications like MS Office. Even though it says refurbished, it looks brand new and even still has the (fairly easy to remove) stickers on it. It just doesn't come in an official box. It came with Windows 10 S, which restricts program installations to the official Microsoft store only, but it's free and very trivial to remove that restriction. After turning it on the first time and running a bunch of Windows security updates and then removing the old Windows version (using the Windows disk cleanup tool) I was left with 95.5GB free on the hard drive, which is plenty in an era of streaming everything and far more than I'd find on any Chromebook for the same price. I've ordered some extra RAM (you'll want 260-Pin SO-DIMM DDR4 2666 1.2V Laptop Memory) , but even with the default 4GB it seems zippy enough for web browsing and Netflix. Keyboard is nice and no issues with the trackpad so far. Speakers are OK, nothing amazing but not awful either. Comes with power cable and the laptop itself looks quite nice in the aluminum silver casing. And while this is definitely not for any cutting edge gamers, it can run Minecraft just fine which was the main concern of the kids. Older games should also run on this, but just don't expect to max out the graphics. Main downsides: It's a bit heavier and larger than I expected, but nothing outrageous. No touchscreen Main upsides: Incredible value for $270. Full HD IPS screen which is really hard to find on sub $300 computers Multiple USB ports Easy to upgrade memory and storage so that it can compete with laptops in the $600+ price range. Use the $80 you saved by going refurbished to get some more RAM. I work in tech and I'd absolutely recommend this to friends or family looking for a entry level PC for basic computing tasks like web browsing and Netflix. So this laptop is amazing for the price. You can upgrade the ram too. The renewed laptop works really well. The looks got me though, i thought it was brand new ! Im seriously surprised on how good it looks, if you look closely at the corners then you can see a little big of paint chips but for the rest of the laptop its very clean. The packaging was nice too, didnt look like it was gonna get banged up with all the bubble wrap it came with. Buy the renewed and save 30 bucks. Its worth it ... show more
