Nice Laptop, Sweet Price
This is a laptop that suits all the basic needs of browsing, streaming, spreadsheets and word processing (but not gaming) that most people would need. I've had several Acer laptops-great reliable product. Check out online expert reviews and you will have confidence in buying this laptop.

Charging Issues
The laptop was good at first. Did everything it was designed to do. However after 3 weeks of usage, averaging 6 hours per day of light work (mainly school assignments), it suddenly won’t charge. The charger itself is fine, as it can charge an older Acer laptop I also have. I also used another charger just to make sure but it still wouldn’t charge. Tried the battery reset as stated on an Acer help forum but still no good. After a few days, the battery drained and it still won’t charge. Basically it’s now dead, can’t turn on, and of no use. Hopefully my situation is one-off and it’s not a common problem. ... show more

Good budget choice
This is a good, inexpensive laptop with a fine clear screen, quick boot up and easy set up. A good choice for anyone who has need of general tasks and entertainment.

Laptop purchase
Everything works great 6-8 months into purchase. Camera is not that great but getting a usb connected camera can be done to take care of that.

I needed a laptop for work, since my old one broke, and having some history with Chromebooks and not liking those because their lack of compatibility, I went with a Windows laptop. I've had a 2-in-1 360° windows laptop in the past, so I was excited to see how it would compare, and it does well! Now, it's not an *amazing* laptop; it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage, which is alright, but being honest, it may be a little difficult for my hobbies. For work, it's great! I can use Zoom and do whatever I need to do, has good account separation with Google (you can use separate Google Chrome openings, rather than having them all just in separate windows within one opening; look up Windows 11 Home Google Chrome if that doesn't make sense), and the audio and camera aren't bad! Video could be a little brighter but I won't complain; it does well even within the daylight. I am an indie game developer, and although I didn't get the laptop specifically *for* my hobbies, it would've been nice to have more RAM, a stronger processor (it is i3), and more storage. I use Unity and I haven't been having any issues so far (loads everything up, downloads packages needed, opens projects and everything as it should) but it'll probably be slower then further I get into developing this current game. We shall see! Overall, not bad. I usually don't do these but I just wanted to do a thorough review since no one else left one. Oh! Also comes with a laptop carry bad, but the bag doesn't have handles. -10 points for that, you guys! Lol ... show more

Fantastic budget computer!
This Acer Aspire 3 Spin 14 is a great little budget laptop. I found it due to it being on a highly respected website's "best budget laptop" list. At $350 it's a real bargain for my needs, which are email, word processing, browsing, video conferencint, streaming videos, WordPress - basic stuff that doesn't include gaming. It came in the home safe mode, which probably any 12 year old can help you remove. Not having a twelve year around, I was able to remove the safe mode with a little bit of internet assistance. If you're getting it for a younger child, the safe mode is a plus, as it prevents downloading apps from non-vetted sources. I like the options of the touch screen and folding it back for use as a tablet. I've had Acers in the past and they've proved to be durable and trouble free. Would highly recommend! ... show more

Horrible customer service from this seller.
Defective laptop that would not turn or charge and the seller refused to provide a prepaid return address label. This seller is absolutely horrible and should be banned from Amazon.
