Got this laptop for basic web surfing and writing and it seems to work well for that. Only had it for a few hours now, so we'll see how it lasts. It is very fast to start up. I am disappointed as some of the reviews and pictures showed a backlit keyboard, but I guess that wasn't for the model I got (Acer Aspire 3 15). No backlit keyboard on this one. Shame. ... show more

    • Battery wouldn't charge after 5 months
Bought this in October and loved it!! 5 months later it wouldn't charge. Did all the troubleshooting but still no charge. Got advice from my tech friend but still nothing. Then when I opened the top, some sprockets fell out and the lid came unhinged...and no, I did not drop it/throw it/shake it or be mean to it in any way. When I called support, they said it's not under warrenty because it is now damaged and would cost $354 to send it back. Very disappointed... ... show more

Bought this in October 2023 and the monitor hinge broke and screen coming apart by April 2024, quality is pretty poor

Sometimes I turn it on and everything works fine, but at other times, there is no connectivity and I must constantly reboot. Not worth the money. Also, it took four weeks for Amazon to replace the original one I bought, which was a lemon.
