Very long review in 3.. 2.. Apple fan, Windows hater here needing a laptop that was portable and able to handle online coursework, note taking, and personal use (emails, web browsing). I decided to further research and invest in a Chromebook as I have had exposure to it in the past and from the small amount of usage I felt it might work for what I needed. So glad I purchased! I was initially weary about ordering as it's a recertified item. I have heard horror stories about items as such, but felt a glimmer of confidence in Amazon and their ability to send quality items so I pulled the plug. At first look I appreciated how well packaged and cared for the laptop was. There was some smudging that I was able to wipe off and two barely visible hairline scratches, but nothing at all enough to warrant return or to affect its performance. Then I feel a bit doomed.. it wouldn't turn on. Not even upon plugging in the charger would the indicator light on the power switch come on. I instantly thought "here we go", but something told me to just leave it plugged in for a bit; maybe it's been without power for a while? After 30 mins, nothing still. I tried different outlets, changed the power cord from one USB outlet to the other.. nothing. At about 45 mins in I tried the charger on my phone to make sure the charger itself wasn't the culprit and it powered my iPhone right up. I google everything and thankfully I did, as I came across a Reddit post suggesting leaving the charger plugged in and pressing + holding the power button for 30 secs to "reboot" the laptop. IT WORKED! The power button light up orange, then blue. The screen came up shortly after requesting I start the setup process. I got through the instructions then made sure to download any updates before going at use full-force. I have been using my laptop since. There hasn't been any glitching, no lagging. It's smooth despite having a ton of apps and tabs open. All of my Google data came through without issue. Overall, this is a GREAT BUY!

I am not one to write reviews, I'm lazy and don't have time, but having the ability to write and provide a review on a product that is attached to such important aspects of life such as study, is important to me. I am a second year college student attending community college, my academic experience has been primarily carried out online. On a budget, I chose this computer to aid me in that aspect. I am beyond satisfied, I would say this is a great product for the price, but that would be undermining its effectiveness and value, this computer has exceeded my expectations, it does exactly what I needed it to. The touch screen works beautifully, runs effectively for simple tasks, can handle multiple tabs open at once, and allows for multiple variations of screen splitting. I hope this can already be assumed, but due to limited hardware capacities, as a chromebook, you are not gonna extract any type of quality gaming experience from this device, not even for roblox. That being said, delving into my own personal experience with this device in relation to the features I sought out, I specifically wanted a 2 in 1, I wanted to be able to use my computer as an IPad. For my liking, the screen is a tad bit too big to comfortably use as an Ipad, and consequently its also too heavy, there is also an awkward space created between the screen and the keyboard when you utilize the 2 in 1 function. Nevertheless, this does not bother me because its use as a computer is smooth and effective. The camera quality is also below mid, again, not a super big deal for me, but might be for you. Love is a strong word but overall, I love this computer, as I navigate to a higher learning institution, I might outgrow it, but for the moment it supersedes what I want and what I need. This device has enhanced my academic experience substantially.

My daughter dropped her macbook in a fit of teenage stupidity, so i got her this chromebook to finish out the year. Initially she was very upset - until she saw and used the machine. It's actually extemely nice - he one we got was basically new and unscratched - i can only imagine they allocate these to schools but return ones that are never used by students. The form factor is great - you can fold it into essentially a tablet. for such a low price it's quite astonishing. It's fast enough too - i watched some youtube videos on it and they loaded sub-second, i played around with a few online apps like google docs and it's very responsive. it's also close in size to my daughter's macbook air - maybe slightly thicker but not by much. All in all i'm extremely happy with it. It solved the problem of ending out the school year without a computer, in an actually very nice way.

This was an amazing deal when I bought it a few years ago. It has a great keyboard and the screen looks amazing, both better than many full laptops. The battery life is also very impressive and it weighs very little. Unfortunately the performance in 2025 isn't good. The processor is pretty slow and the RAM is a huge problem. 4GB just isn't enough when a single tab in Chrome often loads more than 1GB of data. That is ridiculous, but super common now for websites. If you load the wrong news website it will crash they system. I LOVE the build quality, but I can't recommend these specs in 2025. I would definitely look a a newer model in this line that had a lot more RAM.

Got this as a gift for my 7 year old grandson, refurbished so the price was great. I noticed the battery life was not as good as new, but not terrible. He loves my much more expensive Acer Chromebook and surprisingly, this one is almost just as good. Fast, easy to use and great touchscreen! He streams lots of YouTube videos with no issues on buffering. I’m sure he’ll use it even more for school purposes in the coming terms.

Great refurbished. It was completely dead, so give it some time to turn on. Very smooth, fast and efficient for work and daily streaming. Give refurbished a try, its in excellent condition!

It was a good tool to work with until it wasn't. Lasted 5 months. It seems like it has mind of its own. Swapping windows, opening random things, apps, onscreen keyboard. It will not stay on one tab, screen or app for more than about a minute. The return window has expired and there is no support for this model. JUNK.
