Finally... after purchasing over a half dozen Acer Aspires... Each one having SOMETHING terribly wrong with them, I'm SOOOO over the top happy to say that THIS model, and THIS specific piece of hardware has NO Manufacturer Defects that I've been able to pin down. FINALLY!!!! I knew there was an Acer, which had all the specs I prefer and need which would not come packed with defectives on it's hard drive. I realize there are many other affordable options, and that Amazon carries several! But they hardly ever have the specific specs that Acer's are happy to add, which is where Ryzen AMD steps in. Fingerprint scanner, facial recognition, for a safe way to keep others out. And let's not forget the always appreciated backlit keyboard. People who aren't interested in those things are still able to simply choose to go with an Intel Acer. Oh, and as for the dreaded issue with "Laptop Volume Levels"... I purchased this smart little USB powered set of speakers. It's small, but it's powerful loud! So, when I'm using it for entertainment, I can hear everything so well, for an extra 14 bucks it's a no-brainer. Couldn't be happier! UPDATE on July, 9 2023: Well, I now realize that I spoke way-WAAAY too soon. My apologize to anyone who may have purchased this PC due to my previous review. After merely using the PC for 36 'days', I lost the Windows Recovery Environment. Did nothing "out of the ordinary" to cause it. In other words, after owning it for 36 days, using it around 3 to 4 hours 5 days per week, now I cannot open anything besides Microsoft Edge on this PC. There is not even a START menu. When there is "No Recovery Environment", this means there are none of the laptop's programs which are desperately needed in order to do the simplest tasks such as installing Security updates no way to do anything with the laptop but use Edge in an extremely vulnerable position since there is no BASIC way to keep the laptop safe. You cannot even access the ridiculous Microsoft Store to try and update and re-install the programs that are a very important part of using a Windows PC. I have contacted Acer through my Acer Account, and they did tell me to expect a flash drive to be delivered (Shipped and delivery by way of FedEx) & to expect it to arrive in 3 to 5 days. After waiting 10 days, I contacted Acer IT once again, and they stated my case would need to be escalated due to some problem they seem to be having. My past experiences with dealing with Acer have not been helpful at all. So, I'm just not going to hold my breath, at least with them following through with their promises of the shipment of this way to reinstall the laptop's Recovery Environment. Amazon will definitely be refusing to assist with this issue, and that's something I find the most discouraging above everything else. But I suppose they must keep their broken ways in order to desperately keep their numbers in the black. My original review has changed in every way that I voiced my happiness previously. I've witnessed so much of the outright tricks used by "other parties", and alas, I feel ill when I add up all I've spent with all the empty promises of assistance 'if there is anything that they are able to do'. *I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, OR ANY OTHER PERSONAL COMPUTER WHICH STATES IT HAS BEEN INTEGRATED. So they contacted me once they'd received it and had enough time to thoroughly do all diagnostic testing on it. I arrived at work Monday morning with a full print-out of what ALL had been done, which did not meet any kind of terms, covered under what a PROFESSIONAL INTEGRATED ACER LAPTOP were supposed to have. There were off brand, used, 3rd hand parts from all different types of manufacturers basically doing all the work in the PC I received. So just for the RECORD, of course ANY of you have the God-given right to stand up and state: "I'd purchase another one again", or "Great laptop, would purchase again", I'm here to stand-up and say... "Well, that's great news, because I'm sorry to have to say this but you're all probably going to HAVE TO, and sooner rather than later." After spending the better part of my week working on this bait/switch lying "thing", where I was clearly the victim of, I DID get PAYBACK, and then some. I bought this laptop because it has a backlit keyboard and a usb-c connection that can plug into my work’s port and use their two monitors. That all works well. The speakers aren’t very good but it works fine with earbuds or a small speaker I bought for it. The games I’m playing suggest Ryzen 5 and this has Ryzen 3, and I’ve noticed very slight drag times now and then. 95% works like a Ryzen 5. It doesn’t have enough memory for all the games I want so I’ll be buying a portable hard drive for them. ... show more

This laptop is quiet and quick. It functions well and can handle multiple things at once-no lag. I was hesitant purchasing an acer product due to me not owning one prior. It is powerful and you get more bang for your buck. No scratches, dings, or dents. It was easy to take it out of safe mode.

I've had this computer for a week. No problems with shipping or delivery. I would say that the machine is fast. I like the feel of the keyboard, although the layout of the 10-keypad takes some getting used to. Fingerprint sensor works well. Computer is lightweight but feels sturdy. I am not impressed with the audio. I usually had my volume around 15 on my old HP, but I would say I need to have this on 50 or 60 for the same level of sound. I am also not impressed with the battery - it seems to charge slowly. (Additionally, the charging cable is on the shorter side.) Overall a good machine. Edit: I am disappointed with the battery life. From fully charged, the battery was completely drained after 3.5 hours on video calls. ... show more
